I have had so much fun using this to capture pictures and video at my friend's track days on his motorcycle. It holds my phone secure and allows for easy pictures and video capture. I love the added microphone which is also easy to use. It is lightweight and a great value for the money.

Looks like a nice cheaper set up to hold camera. Will be a great starter piece of equipment. Plastic construction but certainly handle my camping video shots.

I am glad I bought this stabilizer for my setup. The 3 extra hot shoe mounts and additional thread hole slots means its extensible. I did not find the directions that helpful and had to figure out how to attach the "smart phone video rig" on my own. It would be nice if the smart phone mount could be removed from the "smart phone video rig" as it gets in the way if used in conjunction with a camera. I was not able to get this stabilizer to mount to my tripod. I did not try the bluetooth connectivity. Its mostly plastic so it's not very heavy.

I recently used this with my video camera and it was amazing, I didn't realize how much of a difference it made from a stick mount. The rubberized grip made it very comfortable to hold for long periods, so I could carry the camera, keep it continuously running while pointed forward, but not have to constantly keep it held up. It easily mounted the lighting unit and the external mic for the video camera in the cold shoe mounts, and I still had one more spot for another accessory (maybe a second light?). While I've tested the Smartphone rig (if I know I'm shooting video I use my regular video camera), I haven't used it extensively, but it seems to work well. It fits my Motorola Stylus 5G (barely, but I have a big impact resistant case) and the Bluetooth connected shutter button on the handle is convenient. Another nice feature is the shutter button is removable (like a small remote) so you don't have to touch the rig if you have it mounted on a tri-pod or other surface to take pictures or start recording. I was looking at this unit, and the one doesn't have the smartphone rig, but the price difference was small enough that I decided on this one as I may find the smartphone rig useful at some point. Overall I was impressed with it and can highly recommend it.

I found the rig to be a little difficult to put together but probably due to the parts being high density plastic which does make for a sturdy piece of equipment. I did find that in order for you to get some low angle to high angle shots quickly you have to do some fancy footwork with your wrist as the phone holder is static.. There is some shake as well, which some phones or DSLR cant handle. It kind of feels like driving a car when you are on the move quickly! For me it makes it a little rough when you have to do the same shot over again. When adding equipment to the cold shoes, the rig does seem to feel a little weak. Of course there is an app that you have to download and if that one does not work then you have to download another one. The shutter button runs off of blue tooth so I do think that that is the biggest downfall for me is getting the apps and then having them fail etc. If you are new to video then this is the rig for you. Lightweight enough for a pre/young teen to use. An easy grip so your friend can film you doing dance videos . You can also set this on the floor or another sturdy surface to use at a Ghost Hunt!

This is better than I expected and recommend for those that use it for content via phone. Very easy to assemble and stable
