Nice and tough, well made tank of a knife. Read more below.
This will be worth reading. So, I went on a whim and order this knife back in June 2019. So I can attest to how well it has performed and lasted for almost 6 years now. I always carry a knife tool in my EDC (every day carry) rotation. This one wouldn't be in there very often because of how big it is. I attend to use smaller tools. Everyones different and it is possible. I was doing EDC setupd (Every Day Carry)before it was a popular mainstream thing LOL. EDC basically means what you carry on you everyday, daily. Like keys, phone, folding knife, small flashlight, watch, maybe a bracelet made of paracord (obviously that can be useful), and so on. These are considered EDC. This knife came sharp, exceptionally sharp. Of course, I went ahead and made it sharper using ceramic rods up to 2000, 8000 grits and finishing with strops with white and green rouge. I seen in the picture of that edge is mirror polished and hair popping sharp. A little background, I own probably close to 100+ knives. Most are folding knives. I caught the knife bug, as they say. They are tools and there's something to appreciate about a well-crafted tight toleranced unique tool. First of all Eafengrow has proven itself in the last several years as great brand that is innovative and has some epic designs. For a knife that weighs 5.81 Oz (164 g), you get a lot. Thick heavy frame lock that makes the satisfying "clunk" sound like a door to a safe setting closed. With the length coming in at just over 9 in and the blade length being just under 4 in, at 3.94, I can definitely get a full purchase on it with all fingers. It has some decent jumping on the top side of the handle that also continues on to the blade itself. The blade is thick, flat ground and capable of doing thin slicing and small precision work is possible with it. It's definitely up there when it comes to the fun scale and the open and close fidgeting. For the price, I doubt there are many titanium framed D2 thick bladed folding knives with the tolerance and quality of this one. I would not be surprised to see a knife sold for 3x the price similar to this one. If this knife looked badass to you and you were thinking about it, just go ahead and order it and you will see what I mean when I say it's a tank. If you are a fan of awesome things and EDC items. I would definitely check this out, recommended for sure!!

I'd honestly pay more for it. (But don't raise the price please.)
Always wanted one of these but can't responsibly pay the price for a real one. This is a really solid knife with only two flaws and a tip for people who are newer to knives. We will get right into the flaws. First off. Both of these are flaws on the originals as well. Most importantly, the pivot screw. It's a proprietary screw that needs a special tool. I made one by filing an old putty knife to shape. Just be warned that if you need to tighten your pivot it's going to be a pain without the "right" tools. Second is the lanyard hole. Again this is a problem on the originals as well. The tip of the blade is going to cut through your lanyard if you string it through both front and back holes. Just tie it tightly through one and you'll be fine. And a need to know for those who are relatively new to knives. This knife comes with phosphor-bronze washers in the pivot. Phosphor-bronze washers need to be broken in. It is going to feel like hot garbage until you break them in by constantly opening and closing the knife. Now onto the good... It's large. But not as heavy as it looks. It locked up nicely. Broke the knife in and tightened it up again and it was smooth and locked up like a rock. Blade is perfectly centered. Speaking of the blade... Razor sharp. And not in the way that every knife is "razor sharp". Razor sharp as in I literally shaved my face with it. It's kind of my right of passage for my new knives. And it's stayed sharp since I bought it with only light stropping after a days use. I work in a wherehouse and this is my box and strap knife. I dropped it and put the smallest ding in the blade near the tip but it polished right out. Steel felt like of some of my d2 knives when sharpening. Wouldn't doubt it for the price. And the finish on this knife is rather nice. The front scale is proper carbon fiber and the finish is nice and smooth. Sometimes on cheap knives with carbon fiber their cost cutting is in the finishing and there will be strands that hang from where they grind it to shape but none of that present on this knife. The carbon scales were a little sharp around the opening but that can be knocked off with a little sandpaper. The blade is stonewashed so there are no sharp edges anywhere, well except for where there should be. This is a proper beast of a knife. I'll check back in a month or so with an update. All in all. It's a beast of a knife for a great price.
