I've never had an issue with itching and since I'm bald it goes right against my scalp

Does it have a rubber band on the elastic on the inside ?

The black part is stretchy lycra. The greyish band with the Under Armour logo is a wide elastic band. I wear it under a motorcycle helmet. It helps hold my prescription glasses in place and my earbuds in my ears. It also helps protect the internal padding of the helmet from sweat.

Does it fit for small heads?

Yes. I have a small head. I'm about a 7 and a quarter in hat size and this is perfect. It is comfortable to wear all day

For cyclists: this may reduce your risk of skin cancer and make your head more comfortable, too.

I've recently become an avid cyclist. I also have a history of skin cancer. I have receding and thinning hair, and the bike helmet and sunblock I used were not enough to prevent sunburn damage to my scalp. I've undergone dermatology treatment to remove the damage, and I can no longer afford to take chances with over exposure to the sun. The dermatologist recommended I wear something under my helmet, so I bought this Under Armour (UA) skull cap. The top and sides of my scalp are now fully covered, so I'm confident there will be no further sunburn damage inflicted on my scalp when I ride. The UA skull cap also makes my head more comfortable. First, the cap prevents the webbing and cushions of the bike helmet from rubbing against my head. Minor, but I did notice a difference. Second, because the UA skull cap keeps the sun's rays from penetrating the scalp through the vents in the helmet, my head feels less fatigued after long rides. It doesn't necessarily make my head feel cooler, but I'd say the cap keeps my head from overheating, which can wear me out. The UA skull cap did feel tight when I first put it on. But, I got used to it pretty quickly, and the fit doesn't cause me any discomfort. After a few miles of riding, I couldn't even tell I was wearing it. I do recommend the UA skull cap!
