not your parent's Talosian
The Talosian pictured on the box is a bit different then the actual Talosian ornament. Both the box and the ornament sort of look like a combined version of the original Talosians. But really, we all remember Meg Wyllie as the lead Talosian. So why not have this ornament be her visage? As a kid, I actually thought this Talosian also played Doctor Bellows on I Dream of Jeannie, I mean seriously they look separated at birth. Meg Wyllie is my favorite BH alien of all time. Also, the Talosians sort of appeared a bit bigger on the original Startrek. Hallmark should have made the Talosian a bit bigger. Still, if you already have several Hallmark Startrek ornaments, you are gonna need to get this one. Perhaps the issue is the Hallmark sculptors had never seen a Talosian before and did not know how to put her back together correctly.

As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to have it. But of course, I had to order three of them.

If you’re a Star Trek fan and know Talos 4, you’ll get a kick out of this ornament.
I saw the models for this figure at an exhibit at the Paley Center so I was happy to see this ornament. This character was in multiple episodes, including the first pilot with Jeffrey Hunter as Pike. It’s a fun addition to my tree.
