The easel is great quality, the wood is beautifully finished and the overall appearance of the finished article is one of quality. The instructions are a little difficult to follow but with a bit of commonsense you know how to remedy your errors. It is very sturdy and will last a lifetime. As many reviewers have mentioned, it is not designed for rooms with low ceilings, but it will hold a very large canvas without too many problems, whereas it is a small canvas that presents a problem, due to the long back piece needing to be extended. That said, this can be overcome with a little imagination. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for studio easel at a very reasonable price. I am one satisfied customer and very pleased with my purchase.

I thought that this might be difficult to put together because there were so many parts, however it was so easy. All the parts were clearly labelled and the instructions in the manual were easier to follow than anything from IKEA. The finished product was beautiful as well as being sturdy.

I procrastinated putting this together for a few days because I assumed it would be a big job. I was pleasantly surprised at how straightforward it was to build, although you do need plenty of floorspace. I didn't need any help. so it's definitely do-able by one person. My only negatives are that the long-bladed screwdrivers provided are really uncomfortable to use - I have two blisters on my screwdriver hand now, so maybe anyone more feeble than me would struggle with those - and there were four screws missing (only 12 instead of 16 for attaching the castors) which could have been a nightmare if I hadn't just happened to have some similar sized screws in the shed. I feel like I should be dropping a star for that, but the finished easel is so fantastic, I just can't bring myself to rate it anything less than five.

Assembly was straightforward, the easel is sturdy and just the right size. I had contemplated getting the extra large version which was slightly more expensive but I'm happy I settled on this one instead as it fits perfectly in my moderately sized studio. Additionally, it's extremely manoeuvrable and it folds for easy storage or transporting. The main tray glides easily and locks into place which is a plus I didn't anticipate. It was a good purchase.

I love this easel, its very sturdy and so nice to paint on, you can adjust the size however you like and it looks very classy too.

I hate it. I want to make art on it and I cannot even get the screws in the wood properly. I've never had any real issue with self assembly, even when there are errors in instructions. I was pleased to have been provided what seemed like fairly nice magnetic screwdrivers. However, the one used to bore the screws into the wood, and one of my own, are now mangled at the tips and screw heads are damaged. I cannot screw any of them in the whole way. The screwdrivers keep slipping on the damaged screws. It's caused minor dents to the side of the wood. I didn't know that I'd need a drill for this, which I don't have. Amazon recommended a drill after buying this-- I think their algorithm sees a pattern. I've just moved home and cannot afford further expenses right now. I feel totally put off producing art by this right now. If I manage to one day put these final parts together then I shall update my review with the total experience, utility and beauty of the product. If Meeden can improve the system so that this never happens to future customers, then I will not include the problem as part of the score. I would suggest that they get someone with no extra tools to put this together and pin point the difficulties. Do the screwdrivers fit firmly into the screw heads or are they loose fits? Do the guide holes need to be deeper or/and wider to compensate for the density of the wood? If I owned a drill, then I would have found this much easier-- but that could be done before dispatch. Self assembly is to make it easier to transport, so I wouldn't expect to have to drill and it wasn't instructed. 😔 I was so looking forward to using this when it arrived ten days ago.

Wonderfully packaged and the assembly is how all self assemble items should be - every single thing carefully labelled. The easel is great, it works much better for me than a precious tripod style, very easy to move and compact use of floor space. My one reservation (solved by me using a saw) is that it is built for a high ceiling, and I have low ceilings. This meant that it was impossible to raise it to a comfortable standing height. I had to cut the top part of the raising back of the easel to enable me to use it in this way. That was fine but it would be good if Meeden actually provided a shorter back support for those with low ceilings.

Muy buena compra, es bonito, fácil de armar y de buena calidad, aunque traía dos llantas con el seguro roto, pero no es gran cosa, ahora espero dure bien.

I found it easy and straightforward to assemble this easel with just one person. Every part is labeled with a number, and all the hardware is in bags labeled with a letter. There are two screwdrivers included so all the tools you need are in the box. There were a few scratches and a couple dents on the tray, but nothing that will affect function or the overall aesthetic. The mahogany is a beautiful rich colour that looks just like the product photos.. It is the exact size I was expecting based on other H-frame easels I have used before, but I would say that if you don't have 10 ft ceilings that it is likely too tall for your space straight out of the box if you plan to stand when you paint. I wrote to Meeden's customer service and for $15 they allowed me to order a second sliding clip that normally holds the top of the canvas. Once I have the second part I'll be able to use one for the top and one for the bottom of the canvas, and then lower the tray which decreases the overall height of the easel. You could also leave the wheels off. Overall it seems really sturdy, and the big knobs make the easel easy to adjust. I would rate this easel as being great value for the price.

Es un muy buen producto, fácil de armar, de buena calidad y con la flexibilidad para trabajar con lienzos grandes. Es estable y me permite ajustarlo en cuanto tamaño del lienzo, altura para poder trabajar parada o sentada, inclinación y movilidad de las ruedas ya que tienen freno.
