We’re hooked!
This game is quick, easy, strategic, and fun. It’s not complicated. Learn in 2 minutes but our strategy is always changing. Even if it isn’t your turn, you can take the sum of the white dice, which keeps all players engaged. No reminding people that it’s their turn. We play that if it’s your turn, it doesn’t matter the order you take the numbers. You can take the sum of white die as the second number if you prefer. I saw a YouTube video that says you are supposed to take the sum of white die first, but we didn’t see that in directions and it certainly doesn’t hurt us competitively to play it our way. The game has a lot of strategy and can be carried anywhere. Waiting on food, play a quick game. It’s not a rowdy game so it’s easy to play anywhere, anytime. We played 150 games on a recent cruise, then we ran out of scoresheets. We had a lot of games with us but this game is ADDICTIVE.There are only a couple of instructions. Not sure why people found it complicated. Someone rolls the dice and calls out the public number (sum of two white dice). Everyone can mark that number if they wish, but it isn’t required. The roller must take a score. They have 3 options for scoring. Take the “public number,” add a white die with any color die and total it for a number on that color row, or use both the public number AND a color number - best option. The 4th option is to mark a penalty box. You can choose this option OR sometimes you’re forced to go this route because literally none of the numbers work. The game ends when either two rows of numbers are locked (rows cannot be locked unless at least 5 numbers are crossed out before the last number is crossed out) or when someone has all 4 penalty boxes marked. Easy to learn, hard to master. There is a lot of strategy!

Easy, Fun and Quick
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great game to pull out when you need to kill some time! Will be buying the randomized sheets as well and plan on creating my own sheets.

Great for the family!
I bought this for my boyfriend as part of his Valentines gift. We love games and I decided to grab this as it was inexpensive. It’s turned into one of our favorites! I ended up buying a second game while en route to girls night. I brought it to family Easter too and it was a hit! I left it behind so everyone could keep playing when I left.It seems to be loved by all of those who play. Its face paced, and keeps everyone engaged.Requires strategy and luck.Great fun!

A great replacement for Yahtzee
For years, Yahtzee has been a fun, portable quick playing dice game a family can enjoy together. Though Qwixx is a different game entirely, I believe it improves on Yahtzee quite a bit.Your score sheet in this game is composed of 4 colored rows with 12 boxes each. Red and yellow are arranged in ascending order (2 through 12) while blue and green are arranged in descending order. The goal of the game is to cross out as many numbers as possible before the end of the game. The more numbers you cross off in a given row the more points you will score. The hitch is that numbers can only be crossed out left to right. For example, if 5 is the first number you cross out on the red row, you are no longer able to cross out the 2, 3, or 4. And if you skip the 6, 7, and 8 and cross out the 9, the numbers you skip are now unavailable to cross out. Here is how a turn works: the active player rolls 6 dice (2 white, 1 each of red, blue, green, and yellow). The active player announces the sum of the 2 white dice and all players are able, if they wish, to cross out that number on any given row they choose. The active player also gets access to a second number: they may choose 1 white die and one of the colored dice and cross out that sum on the row of the colored die they chose. A penalty can affect the active player: if the active player only does not cross out a number on their turn, they receive a penalty worth -5 at game's end. There are some other rules about rows being locked and how the game ends, but it really is a very simple game and the rules, which come with several pictures and examples, will not be hard to understand. Why do I think this is better than Yahtzee? First, it plays much quicker. The dice are only rolled once per turn so even if you are playing with the maximum 5 players, no one will have to wait long for a chance to roll the dice. Also, every player has the opportunity to benefit from every roll thus keeping players involved throughout the game. I also do not find it quite as frustrating as Yahtzee. I never thought rolling 2 6's on your first roll and not getting a single 6 on your next 2 rolls was fun. For some reason in Qwixx, even though it is a dice game, it feels like there are not as many instances where the dice just ruin your shot at winning. Players have a bit more control in deciding how to pursue their score and ending the game on their terms. No, Qwixx is not a highly skilled game where you will develop multiple strategies over time. But it is a fun, fast paced dice game with some interesting decision points you will begin to recognize after a few plays. It is easy to carry and play and can become a staple family activity. Highly recommended.

This is the BEST game
This is the best game that can honestly be played with as many people as you want (although it may get chaotic). It's super easy to pick up and is very addicting. The box itself is very sturdy and there are enough sheets to keep you busy for a while. It is one of my favourite games to bring while traveling, and you can even get away with just the dice if you find an app/web version that supports the score board.
