Good for visible locations on furniture.
Used these to replace some old washers that rusted on a piece of furniture where they would be visible. They look very nice and the coating seems to hold up and resists scratching.

A different kind of use for these
I acrually bought these to add character to some new cabinet knob hardware we purchased to replace the existing ones in our new home. It also helped the new screws work better with the depth of the new screws.
