Dark Souls Remastered (Xbox One)

Great game

Can't fault it. 70 hours in and I'm only about 3/4 of the way through my first run and enjoying every minute. That's got to be some of the best vfm of any game. Thoroughly recommended. Just be prepared to die, learn, then die some more. Update - I just finished it. The whole game from beginning to end took 107 hours. Now I just want to play the whole thing again on NG+, not to mention playing through with different character builds. Graphics are a bit shiner and the 60fps feels consistently smooth. Definitely worth a purchase if you've never played it before or don't still have your old copy.

It's EXACTLY the same. I'd give it 5/5 as it's Dark Souls but this is just a cheap cash in.

Having played DS2, DS3, Bloodborne and then DS1 in that order I struggled with it’s dated graphics and relatively limited gameplay and have to admit I abandoned it about quarter of the way through. Plus by the time I picked it up as a free download on Xbox One back pat, the PVP’ers had long since deserted. DSR is like a massive breath of fresh air though. The visuals are now at least on a par with DS2:SOTFS, the 60 FPS makes a huge difference in gameplay and online, at least for now, is awesome! I am rediscovering Lordran and beyond with fresh eyes and loving it!

I've always wanted to like Dark Souls . The idea is great. The graphics are very good. The gameplay is not enjoyable though. Die , walk , slash , repeat. Yadda Yadda its meant to be "hardcore" but does it have to be so unforgiving ? They would do themselves a lot of favours if they included a more RPG mode . Its also bloody obscure .

Great game just like the original Dark Souls (2011). Fully remastered with reworked graphics and a stable 60FPS for guaranteed smooth gameplay.

I bought this game, and when it arrived…my Xbox broke. This was also around the time Xbox series s came out, which would be the only console I would upgrade to. But one problem is that it is digital only! My luck just seems to keep getting worse :/

I know Dark Souls is popular but it's not for me. This is only my opinion of course. This game is full of pointless grinding for xp and having to re fight the same fights over and over is just boring. I like the concept and some other elements but with a mixture of clunky camera angles and a couple of combat bugs as well as the actually premise of the game (dying all the time) I didn't feel like it was an enjoyable experience. I play all games on the hardest difficulty level but just couldn't get to grips with this one. If you are in to grinding xp and some tough combat and won't miss a storyline then this might be worth your while as it is massively popular which I can respect. If any of this review rings true with you though give it a complete miss. There are far better games to occupy your time.
