It says don't freeze, but can you freeze it once its open?

We love Sampco shredded beef and have been using it for over 2-years. After opening the package we separate the beef into 4 portions and freeze the rest in ziplock bags. The product is mildly seasoned you can use it to make your favorite dishes and add your own spices, that product needs to be sauté for 3 to 5 minutes. Recently we made Enchiladas and my husband loves using it in scramble eggs. It’s Ready to use.

What is the shelf life if not opened? wondering if it would be a good addition to my survival pantry. thanks

Shelf life is18 months without refrigeration.

Is this product self stable, or does it need to be refrigerated prior to opening?

It does not need to be refrigerated before opening, it is self stable.

What's the ingredient 'beef broth' ? Seems like a great way to include powdered celery (i.e. nitrite source for preservative) without mentioning it.

loved this meat will order it again... its just me ,so it lasted a long time. since i dont have a grill ,this is the next best thing you will love it if you like roast. i made bbq sandwichs, tacos , it was just great, ate it with baked potatos
