Bought it for a recent long airplane ride from Dubai to Canada. Was Flying on ITA Airways. Didn't need to use because ITA allows direct bluetooth connection, but I tested it on my laptop and it worked as stated. Only problem is trying to remember the directions to connect/pair since I don't use it very often.

Why did I buy this product? Because I make international flights on a regular basis. For travel, noise canceling headphones are a must-have, but most are now bluetooth. Unfortunately, most cattle class seats have infotainment systems that only provide mini-jack outputs. Enter this device as the perfect solution! At least in my opinion. This device allows me to plug-in to the output jack on an aircraft without the inconvenience of wires. It has several domestic uses, specifically provided a bluetooth interface to older audio equipment, PC's that don't have bluetooth, and (some) tablets. Does it work? Yes, no reservations. Fully charged, the battery was only 50% drained at the end of a 10 hour flight to London from Phoenix, AZ. I used this device in conjunction with my iPad mini, the aircraft infotainment system and even my PC at home. Binding was fast and effortless. Recommend you read the instructions because although binding and unbinding is easy (and works) the unit itself has a minimum of controls and you need to know what you're doing! I really can't speak to quality or range, but at least up to around ten to fifteen feet it was working fine, and sound quality was excellent without drop-out or interference. Can I listen to music while the unit is attached to a charger? Yes you can. This was a worry for me, especially since I forgot to recharge before the return trip. So I attached to a USB-C power bank and absolutely no problem, throughout charging, the unit worked fine. BTW, many airlines seem to be banning the use of power banks on or onto their aircraft - just another nuisance to check on before you fly! Do I know how much power is left? Yes, there are 4 white LED's which tell you how much charge you've got on the device. The top-most illuminated LED flashes until the next level is reached or the unit is fully charged. Finally, can two people listen to the same audio? Yes, my wife and I watched a video on the plane, with both of us wearing Bose NC headphones in bluetooth mode. The unit provides two, simultaneous links so for me that was the final box ticked. Some widgets are hard to use, but this one is well thought out and easy.

Bought the Avantree Relay BT transmitter specifically for when travelling on planes. Wanted to use my Technics EAH- AZ80 for travelling rather than headphones as they are much more portable and convenient to carry around. The item arrived promptly and when I paired it first time, it connected seamlessly with my BT ear buds. On flight, the Avantree Relay hooked up to the airport 2 pin plug. Test was successful. In terms of sound, they sounded fantastic. This might be influenced by BT 5.3 technology which improved sound quality immensely (vs 4.0). I did not experience the latency issue with these (as some reviews had mentioned this a few times). The audio and visual were quite in sync. Overall, very happy with purchase and highly recommend this to anyone who wants the convenience of using their BT ear buds to listen to the entertainment system when flying by plane or any other mode of transport for that matter!

Le guide d’utilisation est très clair et la connection Bluetooth des 2 paires d’écouteurs (2 marques différentes dans mon cas) s’est faite facilement. Utilisé en continu pendant 6h lors d’un vol long courrier. Connection simple sur le système audio de l’avion via l’adaptateur fourni. Écoute plus comfortable avec écouteurs bluetooth que ceux à fils fournis dans l’avion. Fourni avec une petite pochette utile pour stockage avec ses accessoires. Je recommande fortement ce produit qui m’a donné pleine satisfaction et à parfaitement fonctionné.

Ho acquistato l’Avantree Relay con un obiettivo preciso: liberarmi della frustrazione di non poter collegare le mie cuffie Bluetooth a dispositivi che non lo permettono nativamente. In particolare, lo uso con la PlayStation Portal (che come sapete è molto "schizzinosa" con gli accessori non originali) e direttamente sul controller della PS5 per giocare in totale libertà in salotto senza disturbare nessuno. Design e Connessione L’adattatore è compatto, discreto e non intralcia minimamente l'impugnatura del controller o della console. La configurazione è stata fulminea: ho abbinato le mie AirPods Pro in un istante e da allora la connessione è sempre rimasta stabile. Grazie al Bluetooth 5.3, la qualità audio è cristallina e, cosa fondamentale per un videogiocatore, non c’è quel fastidioso ritardo tra l’azione a schermo e il suono in cuffia. Esperienza d’uso e Versatilità Il vero valore aggiunto è la comodità. Poter usare le proprie cuffie preferite su sistemi chiusi o su vecchi oggetti senza Bluetooth cambia drasticamente l'esperienza d'uso. Che sia collegato al jack della PS Portal o a quello del DualSense, il Relay fa il suo lavoro in modo trasparente: ti dimentichi quasi di averlo attaccato. Autonomia infinita Un punto che mi ha davvero sorpreso è la durata della batteria. Nonostante le dimensioni ridotte, sembra non scaricarsi mai. È uno di quei rari gadget che usi per giorni e giorni senza pensare alla ricarica; quasi ti scordi di doverlo collegare al cavo USB. Per chi odia avere l’ansia della batteria scarica nel bel mezzo di una sessione di gioco, questo è un plus incredibile. In sintesi Punti di forza: Compatibilità totale: Funziona perfettamente con PS Portal e AirPods Pro. Batteria strepitosa: Dura tantissimo, ci si dimentica di caricarlo. Latenza zero: Audio fluido e sincronizzato, ideale per il gaming. Plug & Play: Semplicissimo da configurare anche per i meno esperti. Punti di debolezza: Il prezzo è leggermente superiore ad altri adattatori economici, ma la stabilità del segnale e la durata della batteria valgono ogni centesimo. Se cercate un adattatore Bluetooth affidabile, che non vi lasci a piedi sul più bello e che risolva una volta per tutte i problemi di compatibilità delle vostre cuffie, l'Avantree Relay è un acquisto obbligato.
