Camlin Kokuyo Water Colour Cakes.

Product is good as expected, colours are pigmented

The product is really good and it's really a must buy product for all artists. But the packaging was very poor and the package while I received was torn and damage and I sincerely hate the packaging its really poor.

I recently upgraded from camel student tubes and Faber Castello tubes to this very cute tin box of camel artists grade cakes . First the metal box is very nice , with few adjustments to the palette, the box is spacious enough to add a brush pen, few brushes and small water container. The lid is large enough to mix colors. It is little blue for me, I will cost it with white enamel paint later... As for the cakes themselves, they are easy to rewet..like the Colors..I agree with one of the reviews that they dry to a Matt finish, but I like my water color painting to be very transparent..so little pigment goes a long way for my ink and washes..very creamy cakes..worth the money.. Now, if you see the images , the swatches are done with maximum amount of pigment on 70gsm paper. I want to use water color for my daily Journaling. I use a normal note book and the box with all the brushes allows me to carry the paints without taking anything extra. Last one was done on drawing paper.. You can do layering very well with these.. Faber Castell synthetic brushes work great with these cakes.. They are absolutely worth the money..

These are the easiest watercolours to start off with. The colour pay off is good as well, you can build as you go. It is honestly value for money.

I liked everything of this product. It's a must for beginners. It also gives a thin synthetic brush for free inside the box. It gives a swatchsheet also so that you don't need additional paper to swatch. Highly recommended to buy it. Best for beginners. You can also see the quality of the pigments from the cat drawing. If you are thinking whether to buy it or not, then yes it's a must to buy. Believe me or not it's the best👍. You can make very light colours as well as very dark colours. P.S. you don't have to buy a extra pallette

It's good. Good for beginners if you want to practice with watercolor. Sufficient pigmented but yeah it get faded a little after drying. Only problem is that the outer cover is torn and white cake is not glued. Very careless to not send the new piece

I heard about this brand on quite a few artsy YouTube channels, so I decided to give them a try… I am so impressed! This set was only $10 & many of the colors show granulation! Also, many of the colors are not your usual basic colors- this set is great for the Fall season as many colors are orange & brown hues. This set actually is a fantastic way to add to most of every watercolor palette out there- introductory & mixing colors! I love the bright red box and how the paint wells are more vintage than modern paint displays- it’s cool & pretty to look at! I am eyeballing another watercolor set made by Camel or Camlin company!

Reçu à la place une palette de gouache pour enfant de la plus mauvaise qualité qui soit. Kaolin est une marque à éviter. J'ai testé des pinceaux de cette marque, ils sont inutilisables . les poils partent dans tous les sens.
