I wrote a larger review for the Xreal One glasses paried with he Beam Pro. I'll just say this, it's a basic Android device. The battery life is decent with the glasses connected. I'd say about 2.5 hour of run time operating as a standalone pair. While the user experience initially in June 2025 was quirkly, Xreal released an update in July that added the ability to use touchpads on the screen, versus trying to use a pointer you move around by moving the device itself. Another thing they upgraded was allowing apps to run in a wider screen view (beta as of September 2025), but that allowed for easier navigation of apps through the glasses. It runs apps well, and for my use case, I have WIFI at all times, so for streaming it has worked pretty much flawlessly. I like using this over my iPhone for a couple of reasons. I feel it gives you more control over the video placement in the glasses. It also doesn't kill my phone on my long walks, requiring more charge cycles on my phone. I'd rather replace this device versus that of my phone, and so far it has solved the issues I expereinced when I bought the Xreal One glasses. As a combo, they are great to keep me distracted while walking, which means I get more exercise in an easier manner. That's a good thing for me. Once you figure it out, I have a quick routine to load a video or two, lock the Xreal app to prevent button inputs, and then press the lower side button on the Beam Pro to turn the display off. I can then drop it into my pocket and don't need to mess with it. I didn't buy it for 3D video or some of the other options it offers, so I can't speak to those items. But for my use case, it has performed well, I felt the value was good, and it has worked without any issues.

I have the beam pro 128 gig and Air glasses for a week now, great fun. The beam pro was easy to set up out of the box but weird it does not come with a usbc charging cable. It opens up features like switching between 2 display sizes on the air glasses. Body anchor, smooth follow modes, 3D camera videoing. Honey comb spatial display of apps on the glasses. Sound is just ok and I get an annoying warning message about turning up the volume then it displays - glasses not responding wait- close app . Very glitchy . Without the beam pro it just mirrored my IPad which is ok but doesn’t give me full features as mentioned. Overall good product, 4 stars for annoying warnings on the display. And no charge cable !

I have been using the Air 2 Pro glasses for a little under a month now. They’ve been really good for flights and other commutes when I want a bigger screen. I’ve also used them with my work laptop as a second display when remotely working.After some more time with them, I realized that just using my phone with them had a few limitations. I couldn’t run my own streaming apps without the phone screen continuously turned on. The glasses also took up my phone’s only USB port. This meant that the glasses really ate at my phone’s battery, even in flight mode.So when I heard about the Beam Pro, I decided to make the purchase. They’re more closely integrated with the glasses, and you can use any app with the NebulaOS, which is more like a launcher specifically made for the glasses. They basically fixed my only complaint with the Air 2 Pro (which is really a complaint with my phone, not the actual glasses).There doesn’t seem to be any latency associated with the glasses, which is great. I’ve done a few things with them so far, namely PS5 remote play, local gaming (emulation), and video streaming (Plex and Max). The picture quality using NebulaOS is about the same as using my phone, which is to say, very vivid and visible. I connected a PS5 controller for remote play and gaming, and the Beam Pro handled it all very well.There’s a button to toggle between smooth follow (screen follows your eyes), and fixed position (screen floating in space). Smooth follow has some added stabilization, which makes using the glasses way more comfortable than just plugging in your phone, which if you move around too much, might get dizzy. This has been a BLESSING honestly.I also tried using the Beam Pro with my laptop, setting up virtual monitors via Parsec and SpaceDesk. The Beam Pro can run multiple windows, so I was able to set up two floating monitors within the glasses. I turned on fixed position and enlarged the Beam Pro windows, so the elements were way easier to see than just plugging the glasses in.The product runs Android, so it’s really versatile. It’s a new product and the team seems to be pretty responsive on Reddit, so I’m looking forward to some other creative use cases.

I paired the Beam Pro with my Air 2 Pro glasses, and it worked great. The device itself works very well. The responses are smooth and snappy. The two usb-c ports really helped with charging while using the glasses. What I liked the most is the AR features with NebulaOS. The tutorial was very intuitive, and the two different display modes both worked very well. I mostly used the "smooth follow" mode, and the screen followed the movement of my head very well. I went to check out how games, web browsing, and youtube worked. The AR environment is great compared to the normal phone display. With youtube, for example, the video filled up the full screen of the glasses (it seems that the screen capture did not capture the youtube video, but it extended to the full screen), and you can adjust the size of the screen pretty easily. Web browsing also had a much larger space to work with. I set the glasses to fully block light initially, so it was a little difficult for me to type on the Beam Pro, but turning down the light blocking helped a lot. The games were also great. I tested out some of the games on the Xreal app, and it was a great experience that is more VR than AR. It is nice to have both features to enjoy with just one glasses!

While great for using a single app in spatial mode I still find myself using my S20+ for Samsung Dex for experiencing multiple apps at once. Hopefully future software updates on the Beam Pro can make this a true contender in that market.-They advertise multi window spatial view but it focuses on one app at a time while the other is placed partially out of view to the side of your main app. Would be great to move both apps inside the FOV for consumption at the same time.-App compatibility is pretty great but GeForce Now has its issues when trying to run 60fps the app bugs out. Dropping the app to 30fps allows for playability but still laggy. Xbox cloud gaming works fine.-Beam Pro display maxes out at 60fps, not sure how it goes past 60 on external display if it does. And if it does then why stop at 90?While software support should continue on their devices I think the main issue is research and development in hardware and recertification of GMS.

I purchased a pair of Xreal Air Glasses last week not knowing anything about the technology and was hoping they would help make my nighttime gaming sessions a little more comfortable. I mostly play my Legion Go in bed at night before I go to bed. I was led to believe that in order to have a bigger screen that was fixed in AR space I needed the Beam. I researched as much as I could and thought the Beam was something it was not. Apparently you can only STREAM the source to the Beam not plug in your device directly. I was really confused by this and there's not a lot of helpful information on that but after spending a whole day trying to figure out how to do it I realized the Beam is just a companion device that basically does everything your Android phone would do AND you can plug in the device and charge it while using it. This is not what I thought it was and for $200? Not worth it in my opinion. Now between the XReal AIr, the Beam and adapter ive spent almost as much as just buying the Xreal One glasses. I will be returning this and the glasses and just get the Xreal One glasses.

Bought this a little while after getting the XREAL Air 2 Pro glasses, and this ended up being a very handy addition. It was super easy to set up, and immediately worked with the Glasses without any extra steps. The visuals are amazing, and the ability to scroll and tap using your phone as a pointer is a clever workaround for not having eye tracking or requiring a physical mouse. I personally haven't had any issues with eye strain or shaky display while using these. And having 2 USB-C ports has been useful to allow charging while also plugging into the glasses. It's basically like a stand-alone phone too with access to the Google Play store, so I can take it along with me and use it for most internet-enabled apps.I didn't really plan on buying it for the camera features, but was pleasantly surprised at how good the photos are. The 3D feature is really cool, and really makes the photos pop in a way that just isn't possible with your standard smart phone cameras. Overall, for the last month of usage it's been a smooth experience without any issues.

In hardware terms, device is a great value. For $200, you get a new Android device with display port out, 3D cameras, and the unique ability to connect to a pair of Xreal glasses. Even without the glasses, this device's ability to connect to an external touchscreen display and transform into an Android tablet makes this device a tempting offer for people with this specific use case.However, there's a reason that this review isn't 5 stars, and that's the software, especially Nebula OS. Here are some of the biggest problems that damper the experience of using this product:1. Quite often, Nebula OS just freezes indefinitely on the logo when transitioning between apps, and unplugging and repluging the glasses is the only way to fix this.2. When watching a video, I often put the Beam in my pocket, which causes a message to appear on the screen that the pointer tracking has been lost. This keeps appearing even when I selected the option not to show this message again.3. Auto rotate keeps getting turned on on the Beam. I think this happens when I launch Nebula OS.4. For some reason, WebXR content doesn't work. Admittedly, games wouldn't be the best fit for this format, but videos definitely should be supported in the browser.5. The rotation/horizontal position of the cursor doesn't correctly adjust when turning while in smooth follow mode, which means that you have to constantly recenter the cursor when turning. This is also a problem when using WowMouse, so there should also be an option to enable this for Mouse input.6. This one might be a less legitimate complaint than the others, but the experimental desktop mode that you can enable in developer settings has some issues which could probably be fixed. Firstly, you can't turn off the screen of the Beam when in desktop mode. Secondly, there are no navigation controls within desktop mode itself. I know that the Beam wasn't made for this, but improving this would go a long way in increasing the value proposition of this product.The Beam is a good value for the hardware, but the software definitely needs some improvement before I can recommend it to anyone who doesn't want their experience constantly brought down by these issues. I look forward to updating this review when these issues have been resolved.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see the point...if you have an Android phone, and especially if you own a newer model, Samsung Dex works way better than this. This device just complicates everything, and is not intuitive at all.

The phone is nothing spectacular, and the apps for the glasses are in the same range. They would freeze or restart or mal function. If you dont open the apps using their dedicated app you will not have the flexibility to “fix” in position the “screen” which limits the amount of apps that you can actually use it for.
