Solid tools for home use at an affordable price
Very nice set for the price. Appear to be identical to Irwin tools with slightly different grips. Should handle plenty of everyday jobs. These were purchased to help a new employee build a toolset for mostly computer terminal type repair (not heavy use/abuse) on a budget. Great starter set for home, car or even at work. This set brings a lot of nice features at a fair price. Dual compound grips are a nice touch. The black oxide finish is evenly applied. I didn't see any issues with the overall forge quality. Can't speak to the long-term longevity or comparison to Irwin tool steel yet, but I would guess they are pretty close to the same quality.

Very soft metal
The hardened metal that should allow me to grip nuts is not hardened at all! It gave up on simple push nut -- a trusted Irwin vice grip on the other hand handled it without any issue

If you use Klein cutter or linesman pliers in the past, do not buy this kit. It is OK but the cutters are not all that good, for example you need a lot of pressure to cut pipe strapping but they are ok to cut wire up to 12 gauge. So for a complete kit, because of the cutters, very ordinary. If you do not need the cutters then go for it.
