Intex Corona Slim USB Keyboard Water Spill Proof

I have plenty of keyboards in my home lab; quite a few I review as well when I get time or feel like writing a long essay :) This one, however was bought for a specific purpose; of course it was cheap at Rs.255 but the real reason was to give it to my youngest kid to play around and learn to type. And I am happy to share that after over a week of typing, banging and hitting the keyboard is working fine; that's a big surprise for me!Oh yeah, the review by Abraham JOSEPH did help. So, thanks dude! :)So, quickly the good vs bad.THE GOOD==========1. Ridiculously cheap. At the price it was a no-brainer. If you want a cheap keyboard that works, this is one keyboard to get. period. That's based on my kids hitting the keys and using it. I would think you would be more careful.2. Colour coded cursor keys. Not useful unless you are a gamer, in which case this keyboard is not the right fit but still they are colour coded so that's nice.3. Good build quality for the price. For the price I paid, I am happy with the build quality. It's not great, but it will do the job.4. Packaged Well. Unlike a few others here, the piece I got was packed well, there was no damage what-so-ever.5. Water / Spill Proof. Yeah, haven't tested it. But, I am sure some day my kids will and I will update that. However, that said, I would think this would take a spill or two because of the design, which has holes in the back of the keyboard to remove the water.6. Had no issues with any keys, unlike other reviewers; everything works as it should. That said, read the build quality part below.THE NOT SO GOOD================1. Build Quality. Its not too great, not too bad. But, the problem with buying cheap keyboards like this is that what you might get could be very different from me; perhaps my keys will last longer than yours. Quality control is also an issue with anything cheap, which is why made in China gets blamed, often; however, even an Apple Mac is made in China. So, remember that with pretty much anything you buy cheap, you will have questionable quality control; some will work great, some not so good and some maybe even dead-on-arrival.2. Warranty. Is there one? And if it is will you spend time trying to claim it?3. No multimedia keys etc. For me I wanted a plain 104 keys keyboard. If you want multi-media keys I doubt you will find one at this price anyways.BUY OR NOT?============YEAH. By all means, if it's cheap at around Rs.250-300, it's a good buy. Just don't expect it to last like all the expensive keyboards. Keep your expectations in check and it's definitely recommended.* Update (1 Month Later)Still running fine. It's switched around between a tablet and PC now but everything is working as it should be.Hope that helped.

Packaging was alright. Amazon had their cardboard box packaging, and inside was the box of the keyboard. There were NO bubble wraps or air bags, whereas they send my soup packets in hard cardboard box with bubble wrap or airbags!Contents and looks ★★★★☆ONLY Keyboard, NO booklet and NO Warranty Card! Looks pretty simple and nothing fancy about it! It also has a number pad on the right, which many keyboards don't, so it is a plus. And it also has LED Light indicators for Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock. My other wireless keyboard didn't have these LED indicators, so this too is a plus. It is NOT a multimedia keyboard and hence doesn't have volume key, mute key, and other multimedia keys on it, which I miss the most about it! Previously i was using a frontech keyboard but unfortunately i spilled water over it and after that some of the keys were not functioning.so i decided to buy this keyboard.This intex keyboard is great value for money.If you are buying this keyboard for heavy gaming then go for another keyboard.though i use it for playing some games.(its been working all fine)The build quality is decent.and its water spill proof.[So it can handle some amount of moisture.]cons:doesn't have multimedia keys.not suitable for heavy gaming.I hope my review was helpful.update:21-06-2015 still working all fine.spilled water once but no problem as of nowUPDATE-----04-/03-/2016------Surprisingly even after years , its still in one piece and works flawlessly.I never thought a product from Intex would last this long.I am glad that i made the right buying decision. :)

The keyboard is quite light , not suitable for coding , gaming. Only for occasional use , better buy a expensive one.

The Keyboard built, quality and its ergnomics is according to individuals for home use solely and anyone desiring it for long use and for coding, you should AVOID it...Its keys is not that sturdy to be used for gaming even and for coders typing on this keyboard awful.But in this price this is what would you get..Coders should go for wireless and of good ergnomic keyboard..while gamers should go for more sturdy keyboards.Thanks for reviewing this and do vote this review and please do let me know if you want to know more..
