Hardly whistling, more compact than ever, senior-friendly
This is the 2nd pair I purchased for my 70-year-old father this year. One day last year, he turned on the TV and suddenly found that the high-pitched sounds disappeared, for a while, he thought it was the speakers on the old TV that had gone wrong. It wasn’t until he mentioned this to me earlier this year that I realized his hearing was starting to decline.I knew nothing about hearing aid devices, so I had my husband buy him one for about $60 last month, and it hadn't even lasted a full month before the ear tube on one side that connects to the speaker unit broke. The ones I bought this time are very good! My dad said that, in comparison, they are smaller and lighter, making them more invisible and seamless to wear than the previous ones. Instead of having to manually turn them off every time before putting them in the charging case (they will whistle if you don't), they now turn on and off automatically. There is only one volume button on the body that adjusts 5 levels of volume, no other complicated buttons, which is very senior-friendly. I also tried it myself and found that the noise reduction effect of this model is much better. The sound of electrical noise is nearly inaudible in quiet surroundings.Overall, the price is reasonable, for people like my dad who suffers from mild hearing loss, rather than going to spend $1500 - $4000 on a big brand professional hearing aid, it’s better to pick up a good quality OTC hearing amplifier like this, which is functional enough to be used, and doesn't cost too much.

Work great!
After trying hearing aids from 2 different manufacturers (2 sets at each one of them... had to return all due to not working), I ordered these. They were a little bit more than the other ones I had gotten, but also had a larger number of people leaving feedback.I was impressed by the packaging (first impressions are good, aren't they....) Sealed in plastic wrap, the box has a little tab that you can pull on to extract the container instead of fighting to push out the container from one end. Inside I found the charger box containing the ear plugs (with a set of ear plugs already attached). The aids didn't have a protector strip over them, but they were in a little part of the charger that the earplug/tubes go into and not charging. I inserted them into their appropriate compartments and they were fully charged. The charger itself showed 2 out of 3 lights as charged, with the 3rd light blinking indicating charging when I plugged it in using the USB cable (included). These also come with a cleaning tool/brush, 7 sets of plugs in 2 different styles and various sizes. an instruction manual and a user manual AND, something I had not received in any of the other ones that I had to return, a registration link to register them!!!I discovered after I had ordered them that they don't have different modes and they only have 1 microphone each instead of 2. I had looked at so many that those things slipped by me. All of that being said, I have experienced no drawback because of those features being lacking. They are very easy to put on. The ear plugs that were installed on them when I got them are perfect for me, so there is no need for me to try others. I've gotten no whistling or screeching from them. Voices and TV are very clear. I haven't worn them out in any social situations yet so I can't comment on restaurants etc. I do somewhat get the effect of being in a tunnel when wearing them, but it's not annoying. I don't get any echo. Easy to turn on.... just press the + side of the toggle for 3 seconds and you'll hear the beeps indicating that they've turned on! They turn off automatically when you return them to the charger case. I've been able to keep the sound level at level one with no problem. They are comfortable to wear overall. Sometimes I have to do a slight adjustment where the wire/aid goes over my ear. I get a slight annoying ache after having them on for a while. I wear glasses so I suspect a good part of that ache is because of the glasses. A slight adjustment by moving the aid up higher on my ear relieves the pressure on the wire and the ache goes away. This time I around I feel that this was money very well spent. I am very pleased so far.

Great Help for Dad
Bought these for my 78-year-old father, and he’s finally part of the conversations again! The sound is clear, and background noise is nicely reduced. He said they’re comfortable to wear all day. Setup was simple, and the rechargeable case is a big plus. Worth every penny for the peace of mind.

Dad’s TV Savior
Dad used to crank the TV up and still miss what people were saying—not anymore! These boost voices and tone down background noise. He can hear whispers or loud shows, thanks to the volume levels. No battery hassle, just recharge. They’re small, comfy, and he uses them every day.

Great Performance and Good Value
I write very few reviews. I read a lot of them, extracting useful info, but seldom being swayed by a few percent negative reviews. Some people would write a bad review on a shiny, perfect gold brick. These hearing aids are a high tech item. As such, you have to be careful regarding negative reviews.I'm a physicist and know how things work. These hearing aids don't just amplify your weak hearing frequencies. They amplify all frequencies very , very well. They are amplifiers and really work great. Yes, the sound is a little "tinny", but so what. It's certainly not objectionabIe.I preferred setting the volume at about midrange. They really work.I can't, of course arrest to their longterm performance, but the difference between my Costco $1800 ones and these is dramatic.I think a lot of poor reviews written on products is a consequence of the buyer not really understanding instructions. The manual for these hearing aids requires a careful, thoughtful read. But once you get it down, they are easy to charge and set. I may buy another set since I have a home and a farm and don't want to haul the charger around. My Costco aids run 3 days+ on batteries that cost about a dime each. I still prefer batteries to chargers , but I'll put up with a charger for good performance.

Value for money
Various sizes of earbuds ensure a comfortable fit. It suppresses ambient noise and the device is very comfortable to wear. The earplugs are very soft and the sound level can be adjusted to suit your individual needs, they are excellent quality hearing aids. I tested them myself and would buy them again if I needed hearing aids. What a game changer, this is a great product for the money.
