Spigen Rugged Armor Nexus 6P Case with Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design for Nexus 6P 2015 - Black

With the understanding that this not the slimmest case in the market (that would serve a different purpose), let me follow it up by stating that this is an essential product for a delicately crafted device.The Nexus 6P is a capable workhorse with an all-metal body and chamfered edges which, while pleasing to look at, can be tough to hold for extended periods and is prone to dents owing to exposed metal corners. Additionally the gorilla glass window in the back that encases the camera lens and antenna cluster have seen a few cases of unexplained cracks turning up (as reported on xdev forums).The 'Rugged Armor' solution from SPIGEN solves many of these issues with as little compromises as possible. These are my observations:PROS- Rubberized exterior looks smooth, but allows for a better grip- Button responsiveness is retained- The recessed access to the fingerprint sensor is perfectly aligned and gives you a surer access to that space without having to search for it- The camera and antenna cluster now feel protected and gives you confidence when you keep it flat against hard surfaces- The faux carbon-fiber flourishes on the back breaks the monotony elegantlyCONS- Would have preferred if they retained the texture on the sleep/wake button (but that's a minor quibble)- With good protection comes some bulk (that's the trade-off)All this is topped with prompt delivery and sufficient packaging. Hence the 5 stars.

Pros:1. Out of the box the case comes with a silica gel pack and a verification code with which you can confirm the authenticity of the product at the company website itself.2.There is a rubbery feel and flexibility when you pick up the case, but it lives upto its name RUGGED ARMOR once on your phone. It magically transforms into super tough protection for your phone. Truly an armor!3. The case is made to fit the phone perfectly. The edges, curves and the various cutouts are superbly and precisely designed.4. The matte finish at the back has a premium feel and is finger print and smudge proof to a great extent. Whatever little dirt it may catch can simply be wiped off with a swipe with a clean fabric. It's also water repellent to a certain extent so you don't need to worry anymore when you need to pickup your phone with slightly wet hands in case of emergencies.5. Two designs which need special mention and have even bettered the oringinal phone's design are: a) The case has its own power and volume buttons completely covering and protecting phone's corresponding buttons, and need just a tad more pressure to be applied for buttons to respond, hence preventing accidental pressing of buttons. b) The finger print scanner cutout deepens the access to the scanner just slightly, which for me is a good thing as it prevents unintentional finger touches on the sensor.6. You may be mulling over masking of Nexus 6P's superb style and premium metal finish but trust me this case takes your phone's style statement to a whole new level and looks so beautiful and amazing to hold that you are not going to let your phone off your hands for a while.7. You can put your phone on the flat surface either on the back or facing the screen without worries anymore as the case is conveniently designed to keep the phone's body off the surface slightly.8. The phone adds to the bulk and weight of the phone slightly, but it actually gives you a better grip and confidence holding the phone. I found this a good thing.Cons:Just One: The case took so long to grab my attention and equip my phone with it's well deserved protection.Don't think anymore, just go for it. You're never going to settle for anything else once you hold your Nexus 6P phone with this case on.

This is my second cover from Spigen for my Nexus 6p. I bought clear cover earlier as I didn't want to hinder aluminum metallic look of the phone using an opaque cover. After using more than a year the cover turned dirty yellow :( so wanted to replace the cover badly..Made my mind to order Spigen rugged black cover (of course insipred by reviews and rating here).Got the cover within a day - so quick Amazon wow!Product is a one piece back cover with excellant finish and my phone fits in so perfect!!Feels like I have got a new phone :)The cover is not "bulky" as mentioned by many.. it easily fits into your palm..I can tell without hestitation that this is one product which has exceeded expectations buying online..You won't regret buying this cover if you don't mind hiding your phone's original color..

I highly recomended this product.Please don't go with Spigen Ultra Hybrid Crystal Clear SGP11796, i also bought that product, it is not solid, not feeling good quality and slippery also. look like cheap plastic. It was my very first purchase since I brought my mobile.It's slightly more expensive than other covers but for a reasonIt's branded. Well made. thick. Good to look at.Protected the mobile when had a few falls.However mind you that I was lucky.Since these covers are are not armour for your mobile and the damage to your mobile depends on various factors such as the angle of impact, the distance of the fall and so on.Nothing to complain though when it comes to this cover

I bought this for my wife. The case is go good and beautiful that I was asking my wife to put on another case to protect this one (of course, I was joking but I mean it). It so perfectly designed that even the ports and mic holes are aligned right in the center of the cavities in the case for these. The black looks super rick and the carbon fiber texture - man that looks realistic. If you haven't seen real carbon fiber in person before, you'd definitely believe this is real.

Have always bought a case for my smartphones and after browsing through a few options settled on this one. It's made out of a flexible strong plastic that snuggly fits around the phone. Cutaways for headphones, camera and fingerprint ready are great, no issues from me. Power button and volume controls are covered by the case rather than cutaways, which i thought might be an issue but never had any problems and always responsive.As careful as i try to be, i have dropped my phone and number of times and the case has always protected it. Not a single crack on the screen and i bought the phone in Nov. It does add a little bit of bulk to an already large phone, that is the norm with any case, but in my it protects the phone well and i'd much rather make that the priority!

The black case with carbon fiber patern, is of great quality, doesn't feel or look cheap. The holes for camera, laser autofocus, led flashlights, fingerprint reader, 3,5mm jack, usb-c port and noise cancelation mic are in the right place. The fingerprint hole is nicely finished, slightly from outwards to inwards so you can easily find and slide your finger on the reader. The buttons on the right are very good, easy to press and soft enough so you can feel the "click" of the metal buttons. The material out of which this case is made doesn't keep or hold on to fingerprints and when you put it on the phone, the phone will almost click in the case so the case will stay on definitely, it won't come of easilyNo issues whatsoever, haven't dropped my phone yet to see how rugged it is and I hope I won't find out any time soon, but it looks quite strong.After 6 months of usage, the case has loosen up without me taking it off very often, so it had to be replaced...a bit disappointed.Replaced the case with the Neo Hybrid one...the "metal-ish" frame is of mediocre quality, the buttons part isn't flat on the surface; the cutout for the camera is a bit too small so whenever I have to take a photo whilst using the flash, it creates alot of unwanted light in the photo, you can't literally see anything...also the frame had a manufacturing defect, it had extra plastic on the inside, so I literally had to take a knife and scrape the plastic so it would fit the phone...The metal colour is rubbing off although the phone is either on the table or in my pocket...Gone from 5 stars to just 3 because of the lifespan of the first case and the average quality of the second one.

This is honestly the best phone case I have ever purchased; looking as new as the day I put it on. It is the sleekest and most aesthetically pleasing case I've ever witnessed that does not sacrifice protection. The corners have small air pockets to cushion any corner hits. This case feels premium, and is the only case I ever recommend to fellow Nexus 6P users. I even have begun recommending Spigen to friends using other phones, I am that impressed by this product.Spigen have certainly solidified themselves as premium quality case manufacturers, who care about protection, and don't need to compromise between this and aesthetics.

I bought this case and I was not really expecting much due to the low price, however I have used Spigen cases in the past and the build quality and protection has always been excellent.The case arrived sooner than expected and I must say that amazon delivered this by courier even though I had only paid for standard Royal mail (thanks amazon).Now this case is a really great fit, cut outs are all perfect and aligned correctly, holds my Nexus 6P nice and snug and it looks great and feels premium as well.I am using a glass screen protector and my current case was causing the edges of the screen protector to lift at the bottom even though I had fitted it correctly, this case has resolved that issue. so I am very happy indeed :) This case makes the phone look like it is in stealth mode, it just looks really cool and macho...Highly recommend it!

A nicely made case that fits to perfection. Leaves all the ports clear for fingers and looks to provide a good degree of protection without making the phone feel too thick. Its material gives me a good grip and it always feels secure in my hand. Very happy.
