This is a complete waste of money. MyQ has serious quality assurance, engineering, and production issues. I tried and tried to make this work. I spent, collectively, on excess of 40 hours with their tech support trying to make this work as documented. They sdnt replacement hardware, required me to add a booster to my wifi, move to wifi further away from the unit and still it fails. It is a hardware problem with the camera. The night vision sensor gets stuck and the camera stays in night vision all the time which means the daylight image is all washed out.

It is a nice camera with excellent picture. I took it to work, and across the street to my neighbor's to try to connect it to their 5 mhz networks. I could not. I took it back home and added a 2.4 to my router but no go. I have a Mesh 2.4 network but no go there either. I had a small travel router that I use. I added that to my switch, got a signal, and the camera connected to the travel router's 2.4 network. I have two other cameras where I had to do that. I do have the keypad and it connected fine to my Mesh network. So did two other cameras. It seems the newer cameras are finicky. However, I got them connected, they work, I have access on my app and it is not an issue for me to use a subnet. Excellent resolution, good night vision. I would buy it again; in fact, I will.

This is a great camera with good image quality both day and night. I bought the indoor camera for my garage, liked it a lot so I bought 3 outdoor cameras to replace my Arlo cameras. Setup was relatively painless. The camera was discovered by the app right away, connected to wi-fi and updated easily. The camera is installed with relative ease if your goal is to mount on a wall and just plug it in. There is about 15-20ft of wire with weatherproof fittings on both ends. If you are desiring a more refined installation with shorter or hidden wiring, you will need to drill, cut wire and solder in a new usb-a plug to your custom length of wire. It would be nice if Chamberlain designed a professional install kit to facilitate neater installation. Note: you will need the $99/yr 30-day all device storage subscription to be able to record your video. Not a bad deal if you are doing a multiple device installation. I have 5 video devices setup so it’s totally worth the price. My sole issue with the MyQ product line is that it does not integrate with Alexa. This make absolutely no sense to me since MyQ supports Amazon Key delivery. I would buy the new MyQ doorbell but not if it does not integrate with Alexa.

Go wired, battery is a pain

Only 2nd day of use. Decided to return. 1. They charged me 59 bucks for cam and I ordered the $21 cam. Nice switch. This has little or no night vision. Falls off line. No motion follow ( I knew that just pointing out) No easy way to turn off notifications if out by cam doing yard work ECT... Picture quality ok. Works on my Q app & easy h Set up. If u get an alert tap it it takes u to a dead pic. Have to tap that then takes u to another live pic then tap on that to activate...hummm. By the time you get to real time what ever set it off is gone. So then you go back to look a saved pics that take a few minutes to populate...So if anyone or thing out side is a serious danger ..IT IS WAY TO LATE.... Geeze

I bought this about 7 months ago and a few weeks ago it stopped working correctly. It was easy to set up and it had worked flawlessly, even allowing monitoring from other countries. I have contacted customer support and despite their best efforts it will only work for a short time and then it stops. I have waited several days to be contacted for “escalation” ( I don’t know what that means in this context) but heard nothing so I reached out again and they tried to troubleshoot but said they would resubmit as an escalation and to wait for up to 48 hours for an email or phone call from Chamberlain. It seems the product may have a short lifespan.

Excellent camera! Works great, notifies me as soon as someone comes near the door or approaches the driveway. Excellent for maintaining your home safe and to know who is at your door.
