Nissin Cup Noodles Seafood Noodle 74g×20

It's so difficult to find any ramen noodles as exotic as these in my area. Nissin's 'cup noodles' in my local grocery stores are the run of the mill chicken, beef and shrimp flavors. And the cup is also smaller (2.25 versus 2.57 oz.), plus they're made in the US. These seem closer to the real deal, imported from Hong Kong.When you first peel the lid off, the aroma is, um, let's just say 'unique'. I can't get away with saying what it reminds me of, but it's enough to say it's a rather strong fishy, sort of seafoodish kind of aroma. Think of taking the lid off a tin of sardines. I'm just giving a 'heads up', since your first impression, based on the smell, may or may not be a positive one. But like a lot of things that start off dry and lifeless, things get a lot better when you add a little heat and moisture. 3 minutes in boiling water, and these noodles become a tasty treat. The ingredients are the most exotic I've seen for a cup of ramen noodles....sardine, clam, bonito, cuttlefish, green onion, cabbage, corn, red bell pepper, white pepper, garlic...the list goes on. Most of the ocean critters are added in the form of a powder (kimchi, seafood, as listed in the ingredients). And yes, TONS of salt. Just one cup of Nissin's Spicy Seafood noodles gives you a whopping 53% of your daily value of sodium. Not something to be eaten every day, that's for sure. The flavor is hard to describe, but surprisingly complex for a cup of noodles. And the 'spicy' part hit the mark for me. Not to the point of setting you on fire, but enough to be noticed. Preparation is super easy. No separate seasoning packets to sprinkle in. Just add boiling water, let sit for 3 minutes and you're done. One final note: For anyone who has issues with MSG, these noodles do contain that ingredient.

I am a Japanese and grew up eating the authentic Sea food cup noodle from nissin so I am familiar to that. I decided to buy this and give it a try Since I saw Here in Amazon and was cheaper than getting seafood nissin.I must say it is delicious. However, it's far far away to be like seafood nissin though it is ths same company. The huge reason why I say this is because when you open the Japanese seafood nissin or nissin series, they have tons of meat in it. (Shrimp, octopos, cabbage, etc) but this one doesn't have that much. Let's say you're lucky IF you get something that has ocropos and cabbage on top of it. Mostly doesn't have anything on top. For this reason I am rating this product 2 stars. Other than that if you like to get what it doesn't look nothing like a picture with full of meat on top of it, it is still delicious with noodle and spicy soup so why not give it a try ?

This is my favorite flavor. I go through several cups a week. It has a great aroma. It has a wonderful crab flavor and has a nice heat profile from the large amount of ground black pepper in it. The veggies and meat in the soup are large sized and tasty. The last swallow of broth will bring tears to your eyes, from the pepper in the bottom, witch I love about it. I recently moved and cannot find in my local area. I hope they resupply here soon so I can order another few case.

The noodles are great- I originally did not want to make such a big purchase but I thought maybe I can eat them during the summer. However, the expiration date is July 7, 2015 which means I only have 2 months to finish all 24 cups of noodles. I do not eat these on a daily basis for health concerns, so it's unlikely I will finish all of time in such period time. The thing with instant noodles is that they usually have a 1 or 2 year expiration date so it's ok to stock up. But this is apparently not the case here.

Came intact and complete but expiration date is very close. Only have less than 4 months till this expires.

If you like spicy, and I mean hot spicy then this is for you. I love this Black pepper crap cup of noodle, it's just my favorite. But you better like spicy and I mean hot spicy otherwise, order something a lot milder. I would highly recommend this to anybody that likes really hot spicy noodles.

I love this noodle very much! I have been craving of this for the longest time. The shipper is from japan and i say this is authentic. However it took a little while to arrive,but it is from overseas so no biggie. It actually arrived after 2 weeks and was expecting it for a month. I wasn't disappointed. Thank you! Will order again definetly!!!
