ProtoArc EKM01 Plus Ergonomic Wireless Keyboard Mouse Combo with Wrist Rest

This little keyboard is a gem once you get used to it. The layout is compact, so there’s a short adjustment period — especially if you’re used to a full-sized board — but after that, it’s smooth sailing. What really stands out is the ability to connect to three devices at once. I’ve got mine paired with a laptop, a tablet, and a phone, and switching between them is as simple as pressing a button. No fiddling, no delays — it just works. Typing feel is surprisingly good for something this slim and portable, and the build quality feels solid. It's also quiet, which is great for shared spaces or late-night work. If you juggle multiple devices and want something small, reliable, and well thought out, this is absolutely worth picking up.

I purchased this set to replace my aging Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard. I tried a different vendor first but I returned it right away as it was just terrible. Then I tried this ProtoArc set and I am fully satisfied with it. It provides the same comfort and quality as the much more expensive alternatives. Good battery life, great quality, good typing experience. The mouse is comfortable to use too. The connectivity to up to 3 devices made my USB switch redundant. I can only recommend it. My biggest complaint about this keyboard can be that it has both Windows and Mac captions on the keys (so Cmd and Option is there on the Win and Alt keys), which slightly annoys me but may well be an advantage to Mac users. It is also strange that there are 2 Print Screen buttons, one with a pictogram and the other with the name (PrtScn), doing the exact same thing. But I am really splitting hairs here. This is a great combo and as someone who spends his life working with computer I am so happy that I found it.

Fantastic keyboard. I usually have a problem with keyboards that are light because they move around but this is properly heavy and stays where it is put. Silly detail, but there is a single button to lock the screen rather than searching for the Windows/L combination, something I tend to last thing at night in the dark. And it looks quality, with a substantial wrist rest. The mouse is ok, but i have the opposite problem, it feels very light and insubstantial (probably due to the lack of batteries). But that is a minor niggle and I can live with it for this AWESOME keyboard. Hint : charge the keyboard in the dark, the led indicator is not very big.

Amazing Keyboard, very comfortable and responsive premium product. The mouse is a let down as scrolling is a major struggle.

Firstly, "Thanks, ProtoArc!", I have just purchased one of your ergo desktop bundles with the "EKM01 Plus" keyboard and mouse combo. The keyboard is wonderful to use, very responsive, and I can use it just as well as my old Microsoft "sculpt" split ergo keyboard. The keys on your keyboard remind me more of a laptop style, and after using it for a month I can honestly say "I love it". The keys are very responsive, quiet in use, and the layout perfect to retain straight arms during use. The wrist rest is also comfortable in use, though needs some support in the middle. What a fantastic value for money keyboard. looks premium, primary buttons in all the right places, and very responsive. Just two minor comments for your design team.... Firstly, with the legs at the front of the keyboard in use, you lose any and all grip at the front of the keyboard, which makes it rather worse than the Microsoft keyboard - what you need here is some sort of rubber feet to the fold out legs so that the front stays put. It isn't helped that when the legs are raised, the back rubber feet are then almost not touching the desk either - these also need a dual ramp design/profile so the not just the back corner of the little rubber pad is touching the desk. The overall idea is there, but those little things make the keyboard MUCH less stable on a desk when those legs are being used. (I have had to stop using it with the front edge raised, as a result of this, I was finding the whole thing slid back during extended periods of use) Second, the front edge of the keyboard is very flexible, and prone to lifting the back edge if you lean on the wrist pad below the space bars with any real force. I have added a third small rubber pad at the front edge between the two space bar keys which completely resolves the issue when the keyboard is used flat, but maybe some strengthening internally to stop the flexing would be in order, and you would probably need a third leg for the raised position (or as Microsoft do, an additional whole length support bar which attaches with magnets and dedicated feet) I must stress that these are very minor comments, but I thought I would make contact and add an honest user review to show how you could elevate the quality of the keyboard from "great" to "fantastic", and dare I say it "Microsoft beating". I think the mouse is also "good" rather than exceptional; it is obviously made for a slightly bigger hand than mine (so it would be useless for a female or someone with smaller hands), and I will have to see how I get on with the integrated numeric keys on the keyboard, I rather liked the more compact Microsoft offering here with the separate numeric keypad/calculator, as it didn't have to take up space if you didn't need it, and could position it left or right depending on your dexterity. The mouse wheel could do with more grip and a "rounded" design to it like a Logitech or Microsoft mouse; the flat wheel design is at odds with the sloping button design. Maybe that could be resolved with the wheel also sloping, as I tend to find I'm using the right corner of the wheel rather than the flat surface of it. I will continue with it for now, but suspect I will tire of this and revert back to a smaller Logitech one I have for my laptop. Keep up the good work. I will recommend this keyboard to a friend who also suffers like I do with ulnar nerve compression and nerve damage. It was a toss up between yours and the Logitech K860. So far I am happy with my choice of the ProtoArc set, but maybe I would have been better served with just the keyboard and sought out a mouse more aligned with my hands. If you are looking for a replacement to the Microsoft Sculp keyboard, then I can honestly say this goes a long way to being a viable alternative. I even feel my typing speed has improved marginally with this design, my left hand is now doing all the left side which I was sometimes moving my right hand over for with the sculpt keyboard. Still not sure about the strange media keys lodged between the left and right sides, but they do not get in the way at all, so don't let that layout put anyone off. Having used the ms sculpt for a number of years and moving to this keyboard, I think the best layout for me would be the standard keys and the up/down/pgup/pgdn and arrow keys on the main keyboard, and no numeric keys, or like ms do, a separate numeric keypad, it would save 9cm of width and make it less of a stretch for mouse use. Update after a couple of months solid use. The right hand space key has developed a squeak. Hardly a deal breaker but does point toward some lower quality plastics and switches in there. Maybe won’t be lasting as long as a Microsoft sculpt then. 🧐 UPDATE 6 months in - mouse is the single most frustrating mouse I have ever used in 30+ years, it keeps losing connection mid scroll, jerks around the screen like I don't know what, and will suddenly appear at a random location on screen as though it's been in a tunnel. Have raised with ProtoArc support and awaiting feedback, but maybe best to warn others that there could be a potential issue here

Comfortable and good quality use it at home and work.

This is a great setup, the nature of the keys means a slight touch won't type a key, which really helps my typing! The mouse is a really good fit for my hands, it's quiet and functions well. Bluetooth setup was a breeze and I was able to connect to two computers quickly and can flick back and forth. For those wanting it to be backlit this is the wrong model. Both devices are weighted well, and whilst this isn't cheap I believe it's great value for money. And no, I was t sent this item for review! I paid out of my own pocket!!

Worst purchase ever, software full of malware and operationally constantly caused issues with network and other bluetooth devices, continually freezing and dropping out with either mouse or keyboard refusing to work without being turned off and on again, unfortunately missed return window as it was not put into service immediately, so already resigned to the bin, expensive mistake.
