This is just the same 2012 TMNT complete DVD set with new cover artwork on the plastic case
The DVDs are just the same exact DVDs that were produced and released by Fred Wolf Films and Lionsgate that Nickelodeon and Paramount just put their own artwork and names on the cover and called it a day. It is pretty much the same 2012 box set just with new cover art and different companies that "produced" the set. The DVDs have the same exact artwork just like the older TMNT DVDs had previously and they still have the same exact menu problems as the old ones where a lot of the episodes are not in order. They didn't try to fix anything. And if you don't think that these are the exact same, the Season 4 Discs still say "See Disc 23 for Bonus Features for these Season 4 Episodes: "Planet of the Turtleoids" and "Once Upon a Time Machine". Why not fix that and put all the Season 4 Episodes on the Season 4 Discs? So lazy. I wish they could've provided a written episode list for each DVD. The only way to know which episode is on which DVD is to visit the episode menu for each DVD while consulting a TMNT episode Wiki. Yes, they are marked by Season and disc number but again, the episodes are not in order. Yes, the show didn't always have a chronological story but if I want to watch each episode as how they were chronologically released, I shouldn't have to do this much. The way how these DVDs are stored is also terrible so I had to reorganize them in numerical/chronological order. Not a fan of having DVDs stacked on top of another like this. Really annoying to have to remove some DVDs just to access a specific one I want to watch. You're probably better off getting a CD/DVD binder or getting those cheap individual CD plastic jewel cases and storing the DVDs in those. One of the DVDs was also not securely put in and came loose either before it was packaged or during shipping/delivery because when I opened the case, I was surprised and annoyed that a brand new DVD in a brand new pre-order box set arrived in this state. Thankfully the DVD didn't get scratched and it worked when I tried playing it. Oh, if you want to close the case, you have to orient it like in the 2nd picture I provided and then close it, otherwise it won't close. The only reason why I didn't give this a lower rating is because the price was cheap and it is the complete series. I didn't buy the original original DVDs when they first came out in the mid 2000s where I had to go locate and buy every single season individually and pay a lot of money for each so I didn't experience that nonsense thankfully. What was worse with those DVDs was that some of the seasons didn't fully come out on 1 singular DVD for each. Some of the seasons were split into multiple DVDs that you had to buy separately so this complete box set and the cheap price are the only reasons why I rated this 3 stars. So, if you want to own the entire TMNT 80s series and do it for cheap, unfortunately this is the best way to do it. Just buy a CD/DVD binder or buy individual CD/DVD jewel cases for these and get rid of the terrible plastic case these DVDs come in.
