I just received my new lap desk a few days ago. My friend had one & I loved hers so much that I ordered one immediately. I just LOVE it. It is so practical & has places for my devices. I love the LED light, the carrying handle & the side mini-desk that slides out either side. I think Sophia & Sam Co. have thought of everything needed in a comfortable lap desk. I have used a much smaller one for many years I purchased from a book store, but this one is so much bigger & better. The other one will still have some use, but I am using this new one constantly. I am so glad that this is the lap desk I decided on. It is comfortable and attractive. My Mac keyboard and trac pad fit on it nicely. It holds my 10.1" Samsung Tab S just fine. I think the slot for the tablet has been enlarged. The description states it will hold a 9" tablet but the slot on my desk is about 12.5", so I am inclined to say it would hold a much larger tablet. My iPhone 6s Plus, in it's case, fits snuggly in the slot on the mouse tray. I am pleased with the silver "glitter" color. I like it a lot. The wrist pad is comfortable as is the way it sits on the lap. The mouse tray slides left or right for any lefties out there. I do use a mouse pad because the mouse slides off the tray, not a deal breaker for me. I like the LCD lamp, it's great for a dimly lit room. (My keyboard is not back lit.) After reading reviews on many, many laptop desks I am glad I decided on this one even though the cost was a bit more than some of the others. I have absolutely no buyers remorse. It's well made and I love it.

Fits my laptop perfectly, even with my cooling pad under it. Due to the height of the cooling pad and laptop, the foam wrist pad really just serves the purpose of keeping it all from sliding off, but if it all sat lower, the wrist pad is soft and comfortable. USB light is a little on the weak side, but would be good for coloring or reading if you, like me, have low lighting in your living room. Sliding mouse pad is the perfect size for a track-ball type mouse that doesn't require moving it around. I think if I had a normal mouse, there may not be enough room to maneuver it. The mouse pad itself can be moved to either side if you're left-handed. The phone slot on the mouse pad works well with the size of my phone, though I likely won't be using it because it would be in close proximity to my hand and mouse. The cushion on the bottom is quite comfortable. The only real problem I had is the fact I ordered on March 5th, to be delivered March 7th, and it didn't show up until last night (March 12th). And my only complaint is there is no protective area around the battery pack for the USB, it sits in a little pocket surrounded by fabric. Assuming it doesn't overheat on me, I would suggest this to friends and family
