The Burrell Scientific 073-851-20-00 Severs extrusion rheometer has a 1 to 1 million centipoise (cP) viscosity measuring range for use with fluids that will flow at room temperature, with or without the application of pressure. It measures the working properties of fluids and the effects of pressure, time, agitation, and changes in composition. The rheometer has a 0.30cm stainless steel orifice for durability. It has a pressure gauge to measure line pressure and another to measure sample pressure up to 100 psi in one-pound increments. This Severs extrusion rheometer includes one sample cylinder and is suitable for use in the formulation, manufacture, and end use of printing inks, coatings, adhesives, polymers, food pastes, lubricants, plastisols, paints, paper, putty, cosmetics, soaps, waxes, asphalts, and mastics.

A bubble viscometer measures the time required for an air bubble to rise through a fluid. Viscosity measurements are used in laboratories, research and development, process control, and plant quality control applications. Some viscometers are manufactured to meet industry or governmental standards, including Ingress Protection (IP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), International Standards Organization (ISO), and ASTM International (formerly American Society for Testing and Materials)
