This is a truly ergonomic set of kitchen shears. I have big hands and the shears I had before would painfully pinch me in the palm of my hand because the loops came together too far back- and this is true for many brands. KitchenAid very smartly had the closure happen further forward and made the loops bigger, so it is easier for big hands people (which is many of us men) to use them- but also made the loops nonslip and softer as well. The penalty they paid for this is to make the blades broader meaning that it takes more steel- but this also makes them sturdier and more durable. This is a far better design than even many shears which cost twice as much or more. The blades are plenty sharp as well, so you are not getting shortchanged in the performance area. KitchenAid wisely spent the extra money on extra steel to produce a product which works well and is safer to use. Using these shears have made me a fan of KitchenAid.

I have purchased and used extensively higher cost big brand named like Henkel and Shun. Those may look a bit more refined in terms if the materials used, but they don’t perform any better than the Kitchen Aide. I had previously purchased a pair at a a Ross store where it was deeply discounted. It ended up as my primary kitchen shear. It finally broke after over 10 years of continuous use. I brought the Shun to replace it. It is not as functional as the Kitchen Aide. Amazon got great prices on them during sales

I got these on sale! Needed a or of kitchen shears and saw this two pack on sale. They are good quality shears. I like the fact that one is black and one red. I use the red strictly for raw meat. The black for snipping herbs, opening frozen food pkgs and other things. Now I know which one I used to cut up chicken and which one fo other stuff. No more wondering about cross contamination. Would definitely recommend them.

Excellent kitchen shears, but the handle width makes placing them vertically on their side impossible in our drawer.

I bought these KitchenAid shears because they were so highly recommended, and my old pair had definitely seen better days. I’m really impressed with how well they cut—super sharp, sturdy, and comfortable to use. They handle kitchen tasks with ease, but I especially love using them to break down the never-ending pile of Amazon boxes. They glide right through cardboard like butter! The included sheath is a nice bonus for safe storage. Highly recommend if you need a reliable, multi-purpose pair of kitchen shears.

I love these scissors so much, I bought a pair for work and a pair for home. These are very heavy duty and are a little bigger and weigh a bit more than I had expected, but that doesn't take away from their functionality. These are great scissors and cut many things with ease as if slicing through butter. They're easy to open and close and comfortable to handle. I like the rubber like sealant over the handles which make them virtually slip-free.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Picked these up so I could have my own kitchen scissors that were solely for cutting food, the cover was a bonus, I’ve had them for months now and they haven’t rusted and the cover keeps the tip that way and they cut well enough that in most cases I don’t need a knife to cut most vegetables.
