Gehwol Med Nail Softener 15 Ml

This nail softner works. I have had ingrown toe nails for years and always cut a 'v' as advised by an army doctor. As I got older my nails became harder and the 'v' just wasn't helping so much. I found this stuff on Amazon and within 3 days my nails stopped hurting. The applicator on the top of the plastic bottle applies the solution where needed, no waste and no mess. Best part? No more pain! Very happy with my purchase.

I have had an infection for ages and nothing presribed strong medication was making any differences, this is the only thing that has actually reduced it and it doesn't smell or anything.

This is good. Was recommended by a friend and definitely helps with pain caused by ingrowing nails. I just need to remember to keep applying it as as soon as it gets better, I forget to use it and it all starts again!

This is my ingrowing toenail saviour! A few drops of this on the offending toenail leave for a couple minutes and the toenail is soft enough to cut! My big toenails were a mess, really hard and painful this stuff has really saved me a lot of pain! I’ve used it before in the past and remembered how well it worked so repurchased and it hasn’t let me down. Honestly if you have hard toenails give it a try!

Good product

This was for my husband who has suffered with hard toenails for a long time. He carefully followed the instructions but it only softened the nails a little so therefore was not very impressed.

I have a tendency to cut my toenails too short and the big ones have occasionally caused painful regrowth. This product is excellent. It works within hours to reduce pain and - best of all - it lasts. I bought this in 2018 and it's still going strong!

I attempted to get a product for the purpose of helping with the management of an ingrowing toenail from my local chemist but the assistant went off to the pharmacist and came back shaking her head. So decided to try Gehwol. To my surprise it acted within days and softened the hard skin where the nail was in-growing allowing me for the first time to access the offending nail. I have been giving the skin a few days to recover and then applying the fluid again to remove the next layer. After a month or so the results are very promising with the toe reducing in size considerably (reduced amount of skin) and the swelling that was painful. It will remain to be seen if the nail continues to in-grow or whether Gehol has softened it sufficiently to stop this. The reason it didn't get a five was because I am not yet sure it has provided a long term solution. Also it is difficult to determine how much fluid is being the dispensed so I believe I am actually wasting some which is of some concern as it is in my view relatively expensive.
