Branching Out City of London Wooden Train Set

My 17-month old twins girls love this set. We got it a couple of months ago. At first they only really played with the smaller vehicles on the floor(and learnt how to say words like "taxi"). Then they started rolling them on the bridge. And now they are assembling the track, rolling all the vehicles along and putting up the buidings, trees and people around it. I like the fact that they are buildings of London and that the train is a tube train. Quality seems great, although we haven't had it for that long yet. Track pieces fit together easily and the tube train compartments attach with magnets, which are also ok for little ones to do on their own. Only (minor) gripe is that most the buildings are rather flat and fall over easily.

My two year old son really enjoys playing with this train set and all the adults enjoy setting it up and pretending they know where all the different London landmarks are! I've had lots of comments on how lovely it is. My son quickly said the names of the landmarks and can now point them out when they come on t.v.Unfortunately the roof of one of the tube trains came off very quickly but we contacted London Transport and a bit of superglue soon fixed that!Would love to be able to buy extra bits for it.

Bought this for our two year old grand-daughter who had great fun with it. Not just with the trains, but with the little vehicles (with grandparents making suitable 'bee-baa' noises) and the model of the London eye, which actually goes round and round. Her Dad had as much fun setting out the track, but we then combined it with another set from the same maker to make a really complicated layout. Good for learning the London landmarks. Only trouble with the scenery is that it tends to fall over easily!

A firm favourite. The grand-children and cousins get it out every visit.

Arrived quickly, great quality. It was a Christmas present for my 20 month old nephew, he loves it. Really great value.

A really charming train set, which helps my little girl to learn the London landmarks, and all the various vehicles (black cabs, tube trains, buses, etc) that one might see in the capital. There are absolutely loads of pieces and track, which really spark children's imaginations, though it must be said the adults probably get as much out of it, and there is much discussion as to where the landmarks should be placed! It keeps my little girl occupied for ages, and she asks to play with it daily, which is a good indication of its appeal to children.

Train set was received quickly and well packaged. Very happy with my choice of train set, as was going to buy Chugginton interactive train set but after reading reviews changed my mind and opted for this train set. My 2 year old son is very happy playing "CHOO CHOO" as he calls it. The next best thing about it is the chugginton interactive trains (ie - wilson,brewster,koko etc) all fit the track.To round up very good buy for learning the London land marks and hours of fun for all.

Der Preis hatte uns erst lange abgehalten, aber hier hat man bekommen, wofür man bezahlt hat. Sehr gut verarbeitete Teile. Super genaue Passform der Schienen/guter Abschluss. Die Brücke ist sehr stabil.Tolle Details. Für London-Fans nochmal doppelt so interessant. Und das beschenkte Kind spielt jetzt schon seit zwei Wochen ununterbrochen damit, insbesondere weil die Tube als Holzbahn griffiger ist als andere Holzzüge. Und trotz der einfachen Schleife. Die Schienen können aber auch durch andere Systeme erweitert werden, dabei zeigt sich dann aber noch einmal mehr wie gut diese Schienen gemacht sind. Die kleinen Autos sind auch schienenkompatibel. Das drehbare London Eye ist nochmal ein zusätzlicher Schatz. Wäre die Tower Bridge noch dabei, gäbe es 6 Punkte.
