Unfortunately I have had to return this item. First the good - the image quality is as good as advertised. Sadly it’s totally let down by the sound. After being turned on for just over 10 minutes the camera got very hot and what I guess is an onboard fan kicked in and totally ruined the sound being recorded. I should stress that although turned on, the camera was not running continuously just two separate short video clips of roughly 1 minute each. If you just want this camera for pictures and are prepared to add your own sound then I’m sure you will be pleased otherwise you could take the risk and hope I got a random faulty unit.UPDATE - Following this review and comments I posted on my You Tube Channel and Facebook I received feedback from both the Manufacturer and existing users. There is apparently a firmware fix now out plus I apparently missed an item in the settings which enables me to totally turn off the fan. So I am awaiting a replacement and felt it only fair to upgrade my rating to reflect my satisfaction with all other aspects of the camera. Now using the replacement with the fan turned OFF and all seems well.

The QooCam 3 Ultra is the latest and no doubt the best 360 consumer camera on the market. Support from Kandao is very good, which is very important with new products on the market. Yes there are teething problems, but that is expected with a new product. The important thing is how quickly those problems are resolved. The QooCam 3 Ultra allows me to take very good 360 photos with excellent resolution using a camera that is affordable. Well done Kandao.

Bought this to use for google street view, only to find out nadir logo is only applicable in app and the max export in app is 4k. I am disappointed. Has nice built in storage, photos don't seem 96 megapixel because they are a bit smudged but you can't really see it. It does come with a soft case which just about fits, a very short charger, lens cloth, stickers etc.Update - the google street view processed, it looks terrible. Worse than the GoPro Fusion I had. Don't waste your money on this. If you do, beware the returns are with ups, so you won't get your money back for a long time.

I had issues with the late delivery I was tempted to cancel the order but now I have it I'm so glad I did not cancel its a very solid camera and easy to setup and I'm blown away with the quality out the videos

Excellent quality on 360 pic and video.

After using the recommended settings, and even playing about manual settings, the footage came out quite grainy… the desktop software and app is also quite clunky, and not overly great at reframing videos.It’s a shame as this thing doesn’t overheat, so you could potentially record long form content without any issues, but quality really isn’t what is advertised.
