Flower Child Tarot: Deck & Guidebook

I love everything about this deck, except for one thing but first let me tell you about this deck. It is a thick deck, the cards are larger than standard playing cards. If you have smaller hands it may be a problem. They aren’t thick, so they flex and bend nicely when shuffling. The art is definitely reminiscent of the late 1960’s, early 1970’s. If that is your vibe, you’ll love them. The edges aren’t a bright white, it’s an off white color. I love it because it gives the deck an antique/vintage vibe. The back of the cards reminds me of the harvest gold color of appliances from that time period. Some of the cards look similar to the art on Rider-Waite decks while some of the art does not. If you are someone that relies heavily on imagery from the original Rider-Waite deck, these cards may set you back a bit. BUT if you’ve been into Tarot for a bit and you know what the cards are all about then you’ll love this deck. There is also a book that comes in the box that shows what each card is, tells you a little about each card and what the upright & reversed meanings are. The book is in color and is about 1/3 of an inch thick. The box is a nice thick box, the lid lifts off. When you’re done everything stores nicely inside, your beloved deck will be safe. Again, I love everything about the deck except the cards stick. They have a bit of a matte finish that makes them beautiful, but it makes them a beast to use when I first get them. That is the only negative thing I have to say about this tarot deck. The more I shuffle and play with the deck, they become easier to handle and don’t stick. I still give this item 5 stars because I’m not going to let something as minor as brand new cards sticking stop me from enjoying them. They were worth every dollar I spent on them and may get another deck because I love them that much.

This deck is WONDEFUL!!! I’d been debating the purchase for a while and I am kicking myself for not buying it earlier! The print quality is impeccable. The cards feel excellent in my hands with no flaws or issues whatsoever. The cardstock is smooth and feels great. The colors are harmonious and give such good vibes!! The imagery is RWS based, but unique enough to be its own type of awesome. I find the images to be intuitive and think that it’d be good for beginners or seasoned readers, alike. There is some nudity, so be aware if that isn’t your thing. I find it tasteful and in line with the “flower child” vibe. The frogs and fairies also have me wanting to squeal! I think this deck is a great option, whether you’re a collector or looking for a full time reading deck. Bravo to the artist and to the publisher!

I had been searching for a tarot deck that truly resonated with my soul and aesthetic, and I’m so glad I found this one. As someone still learning how to read tarot, I felt an immediate connection to these cards. The artist did a remarkable job with the illustrations; the vibrant colors and thoughtful details bring so much energy and clarity to my readings. The cards are a bit thick, which can make shuffling tricky in certain positions, but it’s a small trade-off for their quality and beauty. Every time I use them, I feel a sense of positivity and inspiration. One small note: the price tag on the box didn’t exactly match the Amazon listing, and I do wish they were a little more affordable. Still, they’re worth it for how much joy and connection they bring to my practice.

Theses cards are beautiful and well made. I find the stock just right, not too thick, not too thin. the colors are very 60’s retro and the images are a lovely mix. I especially like the mixed ethnicities depicted. My only gripe, though easy enough to remedy, is the type in the booklet is way too small to read. Will need my magnifiers. Looking forward to using these soon!

Quality is gorgeous, art is fantastic, the book is so well written and overall this is still my favorite deck
