This is a great budget multi effects pedal in a flooded market. We have the Tone Master Pro, the Quad Cortex, and now the Helix Stadium has just been announced. These are extremely technical units meant for tweakers, and gear snobs who are so into a tone they want to adjust the amp model's voltage or bias and capture a tone from their 5k rig. Spend hours tweaking and turning knobs. This pedal doesn't do that. And this pedal isnt for those type of players. So who is for then? As an owner of tube amps that collect dust, obsolete Digitech multi effects pedals, single effect pedals and a Quad Cortex I just bought, it's hard for me to find time to sit down and spend time with these amps and modeling pedals like I used to, deal with their weight or speed time getting presets perfect with snapshots and scenes and all that nonsense. I just want to be inspired to sit down and play. And this unit does that. I can spend time just going through presets and jamming on the tones and maybe a slight tweak here and there but it is instantly gratifying. This is perfect because I can spend less tweaking and more time playing and writing. I stress this part because having a looper and drum machine built in is invaluable for writing and jamming. The fact that it is rechargeable is the cherry on top. I mainly bought this for camping trips with a rechargeable amp so playing outside anywhere with tons of tones is now possible. When I plugged in, I was very pleasantly surprised. There's some great sounds here, but it's no Quad Cortex or Helix, nor is it trying to be. The amp sims sound and play and feel like they should. The UI is easy and I figured it out in 5 minutes. There's no touch screen, no scribble strips, no advanced i/o, no signal chain rounting options, but at this price point, the features they did manage to pack in this thing is very impressive. IRs can even be loaded onto it. I find myself reaching for it more than my more expensive complicated gear due to convenience. I do have some concerns about build quality, particularly the expression pedal which is the very obvious weak point of the whole pedal, it's flimsy, thin, small, bouncy, which makes it hard to get volume to 100, as it rebounds to 90. They do let you calibrate it and program it to any of the amp or effect parameters so that's a plus. Also the LCD screen can be hard to see at times but that is what it is at this price. So to sum up, if you are looking for tons of tones in an easy to use package, a beginner guitarist looking to find their sound on a budget, or looking for portability for outside playing and travel, this pedal should be at the top of your list. It looks like they are adding amps and effects with each update. I bought it on a whim and was blown away.

So, I love the look (except the green side-panel) and feel of it. The pedal is a bit small, but works well. The software is well thought out, and UI/UX great, once you understand the concept of how it has like “Banks” (groups) that allow you to setup a sound for different needs, say one for rhythm, and one for lead. Where it falls short is that you can only use a single pedal from a group such as FxA or FxB, and they group stuff together that should be in separate groups. To get more groups, you have to get the GE1000. If I had programmed it, I would have maybe limited it to two Fx groups, but allowed you to select those 2 from say 6 with proper Fx groupings. However, that said, for this price point, it does allow you to creat many different Tones, and is way easier to carry than your pedal board. I hope they update the software.

An awesome MFX pedal! I have a Boss GT1000 and a bunch of amps but was looking for something more portable and battery operated for outside jamming. I also bought the Cool Music 100 battery powered amp and paired them up and they sound awesome together for jamming outside or inside. The GE150 pro has tons of sounds and I've been tweaking a bunch of them and it has way more tone presets than I'll ever need. The built in drums are good too for some accompaniment. There are some nice lead tones and about anything you might want in an inexpensive portable pedal. I picked up a few IR's of the web that I will try out but find that the stock ones are great and very tweakable. The battery charge lasts a long time.
