This is my second Beyerdynamic headset, but my first time purchasing the MMX 330 pro. The TL;DR: this is an amazing gaming headset that I would recommend. I was worried because I saw a lot of negative reviews saying the mic didn't work. When I first got my headset, I couldn't hear the mic at all either. I plugged it all in, checked inputs/outputs, and thought "oh crap, I got a bad one too." But actually, there's a mute/unmute toggle switch that ships to muted by default. It's on the cable itself next to the volume rocker, and so you just need to unmute yourself. Maybe other reviewers truly had defective mics, but I wonder how many simply left it on mute lol. In their defense, the instructions/manual make zero mention of this and it's a miss on Beyerdynamic's part. Honestly that bit of the headset is the only real complaint I have. Whereas the rest of the headset feels quality, the volume/mic mute controls feel a bit cheaper since they're just simple plastic. It's also not placed in the most convenient location. But let's talk about that more in the pros/cons... Pros: - Incredible mic quality. Folks I game with often comment on how good my mic sounds. If you're getting bad mic sound, it's because you're placing the mic far too close to your mouth. This mic wants to be much further away. Try that and it will sound like a studio quality mic. - Great gaming audio. I can hear footsteps and the direction they're coming from without a problem. As long as the video game you're playing has good audio mixing, this headset will excel. Almost feels like cheating. - Really good music quality. Not nearly as good as my dedicated audio headset, but still very good for a gaming headset so it could serve as both if you're looking for an all-in-one headset. - Headset feels like quality, esp. compared to my prior gaming headset. - Ear pads are incredibly comfortable. Way more comfy than my DT770 pros. Super soft pads. I wish my pillow were this soft. Cons: - For the first few days, the headband was a bit too tight and clamping down on my jaw a bit. It clamps down quite a bit more than my other Beyerdynamics. However after maybe a week or so, this is no longer an issue. You can also play with positioning on your head and length, and that can help alleviate - As mentioned above, the box on the cable that controls mute/volume isn't great, esp. for the price of this headset. It feels like an afterthought that is lower quality and not ideally placed. If they make another version, they should improve this. - No good way to tell that the mic is muted. On my cheaper prior headset, the mic had an indicator light. This was very useful I miss it. I often forget I'm muted. - Not bluetooth capable, but if you're here you probably already know that. So yeah, overall I would definitely recommend this headset and I would purchase it again in a heartbeat.

Partly no on price, fit concerns, and travel-friendliness. If you have a larger head, game at a desk, and value audio quality over RGB or wireless convenience – this delivers. these headphones are so comfy, from the velvet earcups to the low but sturdy clamping force on my head. the lows/bass are punchy and deep but do not overpower vocals, mids or highs. everything from lows to mids to highs are crystal clear without drowning out each other and the seperation between them is solid. when it comes to music I compare these to some higher end cans i have but these are gaming headphones so I was surprised that right out of the box the mmx 330 pros sounded this great. purchased these specifically for fps games on ps5 and if the seperation of instruments and vocals are that good, then I hope these cans are just as good at hearing footsteps and subtle sounds in shooters like siege or cod with explosions and voice chat happening at the same time. the wire is a bit on the longer side but it does come coiled up with a velcro band that I do not plan on unraveling. the wire actually feels stronger than other headphone wires that im used to. apart from raising volume on your system, there is also a volume rocker on the wire as well. the only possible downside I can think of, and for me this is overlooked due to how comfy these headphones are, is that I do notice some heat buildup on my ears, but again, these headphones are so light and comfy and the earcups so soft that the heat is not that bad. I wear glasses and that did not effect the confort in any way at all which is is a first for me and headphones. i have a pair of akgs and a pair of sennheisers but they are both straight headphones for music not gaming so I cant really compare but i can say these are more comfortable than the sennheisers(massdrop HD 6xx) and lighter weight than the akgs(K701) and lastly I believe the build quality of the mmx 330 pros is superior to both of these. at the end of the day im happy with my purchase. Edit: I have played rainbow six siege and the sound isolation of footsteps is wonderful, almost perfect. everything else sounds enchanced too but not shrill.

Plugged in, unmuted microphone (I can see the unmute/mute spike my audio meter) and nothing. Least the headphones put out some nice sound. Don’t recommend rolling the dice on a working mic for this price point.

These headphones are legitimately amazing, they are extremely comfortable, have one of the best onboard microphones that I receive compliments about online from other people and the sound is amazing. Unlike a lot of high end cans these do not require EQ and sound great out of the box as they are tuned slightly from the factory so they don't sound too sterile. They also look great and high quality, I only wish the microphone was removable however since these live at home on my desk for PC gaming it isn't a big deal. For gaming these are amazing, I can hear everything ingame much better than before, footsteps for example are very obvious with these cans and the positioning is good as well, if the game's sound design is done well I can often hear where shots or footsteps are coming from, usually well before my teammates can. Make sure to use a DAC with these, doesn't need to be anything fancy a simple Apple USBC-to-3.5mm adapter will do the trick, this will allow the headphones to be driven at 100% as often times a PC's integrated headphone port is underpowered. In my case the volume was too low, once I plugged the cans into my PC using the Apple adapter my volume rarely goes above 50% in Windows! Also, as with many cans they will be tight at first, I have a huge head and they fit fine so they will definitely fit you too, just make sure you give them time to stretch out, if you want to accelerate the proccess you can wrap them around a few books overnight to stretch them out more. TL;DR - If you're looking for an amazing gaming headset that sounds great, feels great and won't require you to sell your kidneys to get, you found it! 5/5

I really wanted to like this headset. It comes from a high end manufacturer and has a premium price because of it. The first annoyance here is how long the cable is if all you want to do is connect it to a controller. I have zip tied the excess but I don't really love having to do this or spend money on a shorter one. Another issue I'm having, I'm guessing due to the open back design. My friends say they hear an echo of their voice now when we are in a party chat. Kind of annoying. The headphones do sound good despite all of these complaints. I'm not sure if the cost is justified however. I don't think they sound much better than my several year Rig Pro Wireless headset. I don't think I'll be keeping these.

An audio DAC is needed to get the full potential but this is everything I wanted from my gaming headset. Saving up to buy the wireless model as well. Switching from an old pair of Arctis Nova 7. I never noticed how heavy those Novas are until now. The 330s are so light you may forget you have them on. The over ear design and material are very comfortable. Mic has a mute button. I'm not an audio engineer guy and can't break down things on deep level for someone who wants to know about the highs, mids, and lows. I will say this however, games I played with the old steel series headset didn't hit nowhere near these headsets audibly.

I lost count of how many headsets I've gone through for work (Teams, Zoom, etc). I finally decided I wanted something I could use for both work and decent sound for gaming. This has mostly fit the bill very well. I wear specs and these feel good, even for longer periods of time. The mic is easily adjustable and people on calls say my voice is extremely clear. My dog can be going nuts in the background and I'm told they hear nothing. Cord is good length for me and I've had no connectivity issues. I prefer wired connections, so this works well. The only thing I might say against these is that they are not most engrossing sound for gaming. I'm not an audiophile, so some definitions and quality are likely lost on me. Just your average gamer that appreciates explosions and hearing footsteps sneaking up on me. While I do hear everything, it isn't as deep and filling as what I hoped. Open back - maybe makes sense.

sound quality is amazing, they are SUPER comfy. There is a bit of noise in the background of the mic but it is the best quality ive heard in a gaming headset. with a little noise removal or sound gate its perfectly adequate for streaming or anything like that. I would buy these again especially if there was a wireless version with a stand, oh yeah no stand so make sure you got somewhere soft to put them down or get a headstand. Delivered fast and nicely packaged.

Premetto dicendo che ho provato anche le mmx 300 pro e non sono molto differenti anche se ho deciso di tenere le 330 pro che sono secondo me le migliori cuffie cablate da gaming in assoluto, il primo paio mi era arrivato con microfono difettoso (è raro, ma puó capitare) invece sono felice di avergli dato una seconda possibilità, posso stare qui a scrivere un papiro sulla qualità e l’ immersione che danno queste cuffie , mi limiteró dicendo che appunto sono le migliori che abbia mai provato, se chiudo gli occhi e sparano sento di percepire persino la direzione , l’ inizio e dove va a finire quel proiettile e poi sono comodeeee , davvero COMPLIMENTI. Qualità microfono anche molto soddisfacente e rapporto qualità prezzo 9.5/10

Ik was bewust op zoek naar een open back, bedraadde headset met focus op comfort en geluidskwaliteit. De oorkussens zitten zeer aangenaam en zacht, weinig druk op het hoofd, en fenomenale geluidskwaliteit zowel voor muziek, games als films. Ik gebruik de headset zonder aparte DAC maar gebruik wel de Dolby Atmos voor Headphones plugin op Windows voor films te kijken.
