This battery comes in a plain cardboard box and inside you’ll find the battery and a screwdriver. This battery is the same size as the original but has a higher capacity so should hold more of a charge and allow you to play longer. The original battery is rated at 1750mAh (capacity) and this replacement one is rated at 3200mAh so can hold nearly twice as much power as the original. Installation is straight forward as you release the screws and remove the battery cover to reveal the installed battery. The old battery just pulls out and you can install this on its place. My old battery wasn’t holding a good charge, and I could definitely see the difference in how long the 3DS could stay powered on. This is definitely a welcome upgrade and at a reasonable price. The included screwdriver isn’t the best as the posidrive tip isn’t properly formed and is not quite the correct shape. It does undo the screws though, so it does work but I opted to use my own screwdriver, so I didn’t damage the screw heads. Overall, this is definitely worth the upgrade to replace an ageing battery…

Decent little 3200mAh Li-Ion battery that you can swap out in a couple of minutes - there's only two Philips screws to undo and the back will then pop right off if you get your fingernail under the edges by the bumper triggers.Despite apparently being a higher capacity battery than the original it is exactly the same size and a straight swap. In the photos you can see my original 3DSXL battery on the left and the new one on the right (still in wrapper with the free screwdriver).Supplied screwdriver is rubbish - use your own if you can but otherwise this is a great kit to breathe some new life into your faithful 3DS/XL.

I was very pleased to receive this product, at the time I received it, it was priced at £12.99 and I consider this to be good value for money. It was well packaged.I was a bit concerned about changing the battery over but it was very simple - a couple of screws and it was done. Seems to hold a good charge!I recommend this product!

Usually, things like this are a nightmare to replace. But the design of the 3DS XL has made it so you simply undo two screws, and the back comes off to reveal the battery. This battery fits well and is made of high quality material. It is lasting much longer than the original since fitting it. A replacement battery for Nintendo 3DS. Comes with some tools to help with installation. All looks to be made well, with no issues.Via the listing, it states compatibility with the following models: 3DS XL, 3DS LL, SPR-003 and 3DS XL RED-001.I've not had the need to replace my battery yet, but will update this review, when the time comes. Replacement batteries for new 3ds XL, it was easy to put in and replace my old one which had died. It comes with a tiny little screwdriver to open the co sole case as well. Works great and good value for that price.

Once the rear covers was of this battery fitted my new 3DS perfectly. Put everything back together and plugged in the 3DS and the battery charged no problem. The battery itself looks very similar to the original official battery and in terms of quality it looked well made. Overall, the perfect replacement battery.
