Great product. I got this because I wanted to hang my tv above the fireplace and pull the tv down when the fireplace is not in use. This worked perfectly. It was alot easier to set up than I thought. The difficult part was drilling the hole in the wall, after that, everything was straightforward. 1 person can easily mount this up on his own. The movement is smooth and you can tilt the tv down and to the side.Delivery was alot faster than what was stated and the item came well packaged. I cant seem to find any downside, everything jusy works as expected

I bought this to mount a 50" TV above my mantelpiece to save space but allow me to lower it to a more convenient viewing height when watching TV.As soon as I opened the box it was obvious that this was a quality item. It was very well packaged, all parts clearly labelled amd the instructions were good.I didn't fit this myself, I had a professional do it. It took him about an hour and a large part of that was figuring out the precise position on the wall.I'm pleased with result but the TV does stick out from the wall rather more than I had hoped when in the raised position due to the bulk of the mounting bracket. Perhaps I was naive in hoping it would be almost flush with the wall?The pull down mechanism works well. It's quite stiff and requires a certain amount of effort but may ease over time. There is some adjustment but I haven't tried this yet. It raises easily.There is some horizontal adjustment to the viewing angle, not much but more than enough for my needs.Overall I'm reasonably happy with the item but the bulk prevents me giving it 5 stars.

This product does exactly what it is intended for. Very sturdy. Installation can be done by any novice. I would however advise that you view/watch the youtube video that explain the procedure very logical step by step. More hands on board does make a difference and your life easier. The price is also a major plus and personally I have done a lot of 'comparison' research and cannot justify the £500-£600 versions.

So I bought these TV mount to replace an existing pull out but not down mount I had in my lounge. My 65" Sony TV is used daily by the kids however once they are in bed I use it for films and gaming. I personally hate Wall mounted TV's and have been desperate to put the TV on the stand on the unit. Sadly I keep finding finger prints along the bottom and always see toys and stuff swinging about around under TV level so dropping it down filled me with dread of disaster. This is the perfect answer. Took about an hour to fit start to finish. Well mate sturdy and easy to use. The only thing I would like is the ability to lock the horizontal rotation, so when I pull it down it always stays parallel with the wall. I have tightened it up slightly but it's still able to turn. I also found once I got the tv level that I had to removed the plastic washers supplied to stop the TV rotating vertically as it could slip on the washers. Apart from that it functions as it should and looks great. Finally I can watch my TV at night at the correct height how it should be watched without fear of mishaps in the day.

This looked like what I needed, and it certainly (finally) does the job.So what don't I like...1. The instructions are barely adequate, especially around where to drill the holes. DONT work upwards from the distance given for wallboard plus adjustment for mantle width as the instructions state. Work down.2. The wall board has been spray / dip coated, including the 4 main fixing studs. Hence the nuts won't go on without considerable force, and then bind up after a turn as they strip the coating. This then screws up the thread so you need new nuts TIP. Use same size nuts before you mount the wallboard to strip the coating, two turns tight, one to unbind, two turns etc....3. They only supply 4 big screws and wall plugs, yet there are 8 holes. The 4 failed so I bought some extra screws and wall plugs. It isn't a huge extra cost, but they could have supplied 8 instead of 4.4. Most new builds in UK have dot and dab plasterboard. Make sure you push the wall plug all the way through to the blocks behind otherwise the plug pulls out and cannot be reused when you use the mount. Almost trashed my TV as one corner came off the wall !!! The instructions are not clear about this other than one very small diagram.Am going to remount this with rawlbolts / anchor bolts as I am still not happy with it and concerned kids will pull it onto their heads.

So glad I bought this. Only slight installation issue I had was adjusting the hydraulics so it operated smoothly.Love bringing it down to eye level or rotating it so it can be seen in the dining room.

I have to amend my initial review. There is slightly an issue on the hydraulic arm bolt as it becomes loose over time (6 months for me) and slips. I hope the design in future will remove this issue. I had to release the entire arm, glue with bolt retainer from Screwfix and then put it back with a helping hand as it is difficult. Otherwise it is very sturdy and convenient to pull down. My TV is mounted over the fire place on a solid brick wall and now I don’t have to strain my neck. Excellent build quality. My recommendation is to view the YouTube video before installing.
