**UPDATE** 22-7-2024: KEYBOARD letter "O" malfunction. From day 1 I noticed an extreme sensitivity of the letter. One slight touch added 5 additional O's (ooooo). I thought I could manage, but after nearly 25 days, it began to interfere with my work. I reached out to Amazon and was impressed with the level of support I was provided. Initially we reinstalled the keyboard driver, but unfortunately, I had to go with a replacement. Luckily, these days almost every thing I do is backed up to a cloud and so I won't have to reinstall much. Hope this helps others out there. **Original REVIEW** Recently purchased the Koolsmile 8-inch laptop, specifically the Mini Laptop with an HD Touch Screen running Windows 11 Pro, powered by the Intel N100 4 Cores processor, featuring 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB M.2 SSD. This little warrior has proven to be a robust and reliable companion, ideal for on-the-go use. Compact and Portable: Despite its compact size, the Koolsmile 8-inch laptop packs a punch. Its lightweight and portable design makes it a perfect travel companion for both work and pleasure. It fits easily into a bag, allowing for convenient access wherever you go. Performance and Versatility: Equipped with an Intel N100 4 Cores processor, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD, this mini laptop delivers impressive performance for its size. It's perfect for checking emails, creating documents in Word and Excel, drafting presentations in PowerPoint, and transporting documents. However, it's important to note that this device is not designed for gaming. If gaming is a priority, potential buyers should review the specs carefully. Touch Screen and Stylus Pen: One of the standout features of the Koolsmile 8-inch laptop is its responsive HD touch screen. The touch functionality is on point, especially when using the stylus pen that comes with the laptop. I find it incredibly useful for taking handwritten notes in OneNote and highlighting sections of documents when editing. This feature adds a layer of convenience and precision that enhances productivity. Battery Life and Charging: The battery life of the Koolsmile 8-inch laptop is impressive, lasting around 6 hours, which is well enough to get me through the day. The small charger is easily portable, making it convenient to carry along. However, it does take some time to reach a full charge, which is to be expected. Connectivity and Additional Features: The Koolsmile 8-inch laptop boasts modern connectivity options, including Gigabit Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and HDMI. These features ensure seamless integration with other devices and networks. However, while the built-in 2MP camera is functional, it may not meet the quality requirements for professional meetings and presentations. For better video quality, I recommend purchasing a separate small camera, such as one from Logitech's range. Accessories for Enhanced Use: For those with larger hands or a preference for full-sized keyboards, a small Bluetooth mouse and keyboard can enhance the overall experience. These accessories complement the mini laptop, making it easier to use for extended periods. Final Thoughts: Overall, the Koolsmile 8-inch laptop is an excellent choice for those seeking a portable and efficient device for travel. It's not meant to replace a primary device but serves as a perfect secondary tool for productivity on the go. With its impressive specs, versatile touch screen, stylus pen, and reliable battery life, it is highly recommended for professionals who need a reliable and compact laptop for everyday tasks.

This mini laptop is amazing. I can see myself actually using this device when I need to check on the status of my projects outside. It seems that I've owned every small niche device produced from the Sony UX50 to Sony VAIO PCG-C1VE to the Fujitsu Lifebook U810. Unfortunately, they all had limitations and drawbacks. The U810 had a lot of potential in the early 2000s but it was slow and needed lots of accessories. This Koosmile mini laptop has a N100 CPU, 12GB Ram, 512GB SSD with RJ45 Network Jack, USB2 and HDMI ports. It also comes with a USB HUB and pen for tablet use. The display swivels into a tablet unlike the Lenovo which pivots the display 360* and the keys are facing the bottom. It is exactly like the LIfebook U810. Pros: - The N100 CPU seems is fast considering it has 4C/4T but they are Intel E cores rather than P cores (efficient vs performance). Feels like a Gen8 i3 but significantly faster than atom D525 CPUs. So performance is snappy - web browsing and Youtube videos exhibited no buffering pauses. The HDHomerun app ran without a hitch @ 1280x800. - All Windows Apps such as office worked fine as expected. - Windows compatibility and functionality where Android or IOS devices may not have equivalent features - Tablet mode works well - Touch screen functionality - Wifi 6, BT5.2, USB2 and HDMI Ports - Includes Window 11 Pro ($150 value) - Includes Pen and external USB hub - Price is only $430. Typically fully functional mini laptops cost an arm and a leg. Cons: - The keyboard is compromised due to device size. Touch typing is difficult unless you have small hands. - Device is very warm on the bottom. It can get hot but not enough to burn your hand. - Battery life only ~6hrs. Better laptops can get around 10hrs+ - Speakers not very loud (use BT with earplugs) If you need a small windows laptop with minimal compromises, this is it. Just buy it. Update: -1 Star Battery seems to drain when shut down. Total uptime seems around 2hrs+ now for web browsing and email.

So, here is the thing. I am a consultant, I need to meet people at odd places at times. sometimes even do a presentation. This mini laptop does the trick for me. I can rotate the screen which is such an aweeeeeomeee feature and I can do a presentation in the car!! otehr times I can connect it to a projector and quickly show my numbers if the client wants to see. so its small size and light weight make it an amazing tool to carty arouond Especially the rotation thingy of the screen is just mind blowing!!

I received and set this laptop up, closed the lid while I left for an hour or two; when I returned, it wouldn't re-start. I went back to the Amazon site, engaged their chat support (two real, smart humans, not a chat bot!). We determined that I'd gotten a defective unit, arranged a refund and replacement, which arrived within two days. The new one's a winner. Full up Windows 11 Pro. I'm not going to lie and tell you it's the equivalent of my higher end laptops, but hey, at $500, nothing's going to be. I've been installing my usual apps on it, and so far, no issues. Haven't yet added Office, but that should work ok, judging by what I've seen so far. My fat fingers aren't really happy typing on the tiny keyboard, but with a bluetooth mouse and a lightweight folding keyboard, this should be a killer little traveling machine.
