Firstly, the claim of a "toolless installation" is inaccurate, as the setup requires the included screwdriver. More critically, the device fails in its primary function: the supplied thermal pad is ineffective, leading to significant SSD overheating and thermal throttling. This is compounded by persistent issues where the SSD intermittently disconnects from the host system, resulting in operational instability. Overall, this is a very poorly engineered and unreliable product.

It works well, but the speed of copying many files with small sizes is not really impressive

Ugreen has always live up to its reputation and buying this was the best thing i did. Quality wise, speed transfer wise, body built of the item and packaging was great. Dont settle for anything less. This will be used for long term.

The ssd enclosure itself is very good, the build quality is pretty nice. I'm using 1tb ssd and its working pretty good. But the usb-c wire that it came along with is very very bad. It keeps disconnecting by itself and the read and write is very very bad. I used another ugreen usb c cable and its working fine with that.

The performance is terrible. Tried it with multiple SSD’s but al show the same problem. Performance starts at reasonable speeds and then drops down to speeds below 100 megabytes per second. Happens on either Linux and Windows systems, used several machines to make sure it isn’t hardware related. Using the SSD in an other enclosure shows perfect balanced speed with larger and smaller files.

I just set up this NVMe enclosure and it worked immediately. Installation was simple, and the enclosure feels well built and solid. It connects reliably over USB-C and performs as expected for a 10Gbps enclosure. The compact aluminum design also helps with heat dissipation. Based on initial use, this is a high-quality enclosure that’s perfect for turning an NVMe drive into fast external storage.

Comprado para reutilizar un viejo SSD NVMe como unidad para copias de seguridad. Viene con destornillardor y tornillo extra para la carcasa. Ligero, buen diseño, material aparentemente de calidad. Incluye almohadilla de silicona para el SSD. Todo bien explicado y fácil de preparar. Probado con puertos usb 4 gen 2 de tipo C, con estos no se obtiene una conexión estable, se pueden estar conectando/desconectando continuamente. Aunque puede lograrse pasar un pequeño volumen de datos.

Sauber verarbeitet Wirkt hochwertig und nicht billig. Fazit: Wenn man schnell an Daten auf einer NVMe-SSD muss oder eine SSD retten will, ist dieses Gehäuse eine extrem praktische Lösung.
