I've been using the Ultrahuman Ring AIR for a few weeks now, and I can confidently say it’s one of the most impressive fitness trackers I’ve ever used. As someone who’s deeply invested in both physical performance and overall well-being, this device checks all the right boxes. This review is not a reflection on the features of the ring which I am sure are good , but a fatal flaw in design from which I greatly suffered. Please read the experience below and know very well that there is a small chance this could be you …and think whether is a worth buying such a device I was using the ring for a few days when it got stuck at the bottom of my middle fingers and started to cause discomfort and swelling. As in the case of any normal ring , after failing to pull it off I went to a jeweller shop where they tried a variety of devices which simply could not cut through the strong material. Finally they took out a mini electric saw cutter which also failed to open a ring. The jeweller said that his devices were made for soft metals like gold , and that o would have to find a specialised machine to cut through titanium. It’s now 12:30 am , my swelling is out of control, what am I supposed to do ?? Now frantic with increased discomfort, I messaged customer support on the app ( they don’t have a number) who asked me to proceed to the Emergency Room. However , The doctors in the ER were equally perplexed about how to cut through this material , I frantically asked the support about which tool / power instrument could be used , they had absolutely no answer! There was also the added problem of a battery in the ring , and how to cut through that and with which instrument. Imagine an electrical cutter going through an inflammable battery. My finger by this time had swelled into a baloon, and I had no idea what to do next. We were frantically calling Emergency Rooms at 1 am in the morning , asking them if they had the required tools to break open the titanium band, two of the most premier hospitals in Delhi said that they did not, and only AIIMS had a bone saw cutter that could do the job. We were told that it is a trauma filled experience at AIIMS and decided to try apollo first. Imagine a ring that is Suppose to be a boon to your health becomes a Heath hazard , that simply cannot be taken off. To cut the story short, after multiple tries the ring finally came off at 2:30 am in the morning when a team of skilled plastic surgeons and doctors at apollo hospital finally got the off with the greatest difficultly. Literally 5 full size men had to exert all their cumulative muscle to slowly and painfully cut through the metal using a specialised device. Not only does the ring have absolutely no safety protocol , but there is zero information of how and where it can be cut off during a dire emergency like this. The worst part is the company simply doesn’t care about this hazardous malfunction in the product , after trying to get repeated information from them about the lack of support , guidelines , emergency protocol and statutory safety compliance , they did not even bother call and check on me , and simply offered to replace or refund the ring ( like I would ever wear their ring again). I don’t want anyone to go through , what proved to be one of the worst nights of my entire life, with my whole family sitting outside a ER and the doctor at one point of time bringing out an amputation to try different tools from it. The likelihood is that a situation like this would probably not reoccur with you , but I think you should be well aware of the possible consequences ( however remote ) of using this device. Especially when a company shows blatant disregard to such concerns.

I’m really glad I purchased this ring sizing Kit before ordering the actual ring. The sizes are quite different from standard ring sizes, so trying the sizer first truly helped me avoid guesswork. I wore the sizing ring for a full 24 hours as recommended, keeping the engraved number toward my palm, and it gave me a clear idea of how the ring would feel throughout the day and even during sleep. I tested it on my index and middle finger and found the perfect fit where the ring didn’t rotate freely, ensuring better comfort and accurate tracking. Once confident about my size, ordering the Smart Ring was easy. I also loved checking out the colour swatch card in the box it made choosing between Aster Black, Space Silver, and other premium finishes exciting. The sizing kit may be simple plastic, but knowing the actual ring is crafted from space grade titanium with a tungsten carbide coating makes the experience feel truly premium and worth it.

Lasted around 6 months and failed. Got a replacement under warranty. This one after about 6 months have started cracking on the inner side rendering it useless. The software is good the tracking is good , hardware strength is no good. I used it continuously day and night , only exception during hand wash and bath. Never dropped it even once , as days go by the inner material expands slightly and can be felt when placing in charging dock as it does not slide in easily. These issues have to be addressed by UH. Will I go for one more ? May be not after the bad experience and steep cost of owning one , that can't last a year. Mine is still working but may Crack off anytime . Addressed the issue to Customer care and promptly they send me the second replacement , keeping my fingers crossed and hope this one lasts.

Starting from sizing the Ring prior to getting the ring delivered and connecting to App, all went smoothly. The Ring does what it claims to do. However I experienced a hiccup- After 5 days of using the ring, the ring’s Bluetooth stopped working. It could not connect to the App. It was not showing up in the phone’s Bluetooth panel. I contacted the customer service. After few checks they sent me a free replacement. So I had good experience with their Customer Service, but it left a bad taste that the build quality may not be good. Hope the replacement ring can last longer. After using it now for 2 weeks, I have mixed feelings Positives: 1. The ring’s look and feel, the form factor and weight are excllent. The battery life is good too. 2. The mobile App shows lots of data, for an some people it may be too much, but for me I find it fascinating, just by measuring heart beats, so much information about your sleep quality can be found. For this I give it a plus. 3. Responsive customer service team. 4. No subscription for the App. Negatives: 1. The information one can get from the Ring during the day is very limited. The ring seems to be made for Sleep tracking mostly, including the SPO2 measurement which is only shown as an average value only for the sleep duration. You cannot get this during the day time or while doing any exercise. 2. The app clearly states in one of the info sections that readings for heart rate are not accurate when the person is doing excercise. Heart rate measurement of the ring is designed to be accurate when resting. So I doubt it’d efficacy as a fitness tracker. It does count the steps taken during the day but jury is out whether is accurate always. 3. My main disappointment was to find the SPO2 measurement is not available during exercise (it only shows heartbeat rate when exercising). I now need to consider another wearable device to measure how well (or bad) I am doing when I excercise outside. 4. Longevit of the ring as a device is yet to be seen. For the cost, I expect it to run atleast for 2+ years trouble free. The first one gave way in 5 days 😔 Overall, I like the ring and whatever information it can provide. But, I still find some features are lacking as I mentioned above. Also the cost is a bit high for the features it provides (vis a vis fitness trackers).
