Does not straighten hair on any setting. Does not keep a charge to even attempt half my head and takes forever to charge. When you go to close it, it squeaks. The size is very convenient but it just doesn’t work.

I was hesitant to get this. I have course, thicker hair. I was traveling to Japan and needed to minimize what I was bringing. I only purchased it because some reviews talked me into it which is also why I am writing a review. Anyway, it was perfect. Held its charge. Made my hair look okay while traveling. Is it a replacement for my typical hair straighter? No. But it works well and is now what I take when I travel even when I don't have space contractions. I recommend it.

Great for on the go- I have a backpack purse that has a small hairbrush and deodorant in it. This was the perfect completion of my to-go bag for when my bangs start looking real rough. Fully charge before use, battery life is ok, there’s a switch for on and off that you must toggle before trying to turn it on via the power button

Takes a long time to charge - I recommend just leaving it plugged in. Does not heat to a very high temperature. I have thick hair and it didn't work that great. It is small in size and easily fits in luggage; good for international travel if you aren't too terribly picky about your hair being absolutely perfect!

I've only tried using once, but so far I really like it. It works quite good. As good as a regular plug in straightener I'd say. The only small design flaw is that you have to pull the cover off a little to be able to turn it on. Don't have to pull off all the way, but some. The only time this really matters is if you're in your car of somewhere that you don't want to set this down with the hot end exposed. The hot plates don't touch the surface, which is nice. the handle part is larger so it rest on that and there is a tiny bit of clearance under the working ends. I bought this to keep with me while traveling all the time for work. With curly hair in the summer, it's nice to be able to touch up the front and bangs during the day on those crazy humid days.

Update: I had to come back and remove some stars. I wound up giving it to a friend instead of returning it. It worked great, as described below, until it needed to be recharged. Both she and I tried charging it, and it indicates that it is fully charged, but nothing happens when we try to turn it on. Of course, this came to light outside the return window. :( We are having it looked at, so if we are able to get it working, I will update again.____________________I am reviewing this even though I'm returning it because it deserves the recognition. For a USB device, this is exceptionally high-quality and gets surprisingly hot, every bit as a traditional unit that you plug in. It does work best as a straightened and will only "curl" large waves, which is the only reason it won't work for me. I need tighter curls. If this company/brand ever puts out the same unit for tighter curls, though, I'll be first in line to purchase. I can't say enough about how impressed I am by the quality.

I bought this to take on a cruise. I should have tried it at home first. I waited to use it for the cruise and sure enough, it didn't work. I tried it when i returned home and it still didn't work. I am past the date to return it. what a waste of money.I would choose no stars if I could.
