These uafx guitar pedals are really nice
These pedals are great, if you're not hung up on vintage tube amps... There are YouTube videos of professional guitarists that can't really tell the difference--and to be clear, this is as if you mic'd up a real amp, in an isolation booth in a recording studio, and you're either listening in the control room on monitor speakers, or headphone mix... So if it's good enough that it's a coin toss, whether pro guitarists can pick the real amp or the pedal when doing A/B comparisons, then us mere mortal hobbyists are fine with it. You get the sounds of expensive, vintage amps, without the hassle of vintage amps maintenance. Even The Edge, from U2 used them, since his real AC 30 amps were always under the stage anyway. So, if I had many millions of $, then sure, I'd have all the real toys... But as a hobbyist, these pedals are great. AND I didn't want to go with a multi effects processor, like Quad Vortex, because it can become paralysis of too many choices. So these pedals are only an amp simulator/emulator. They sound great on their own, or with other guitar pedals.

My Favorite Pedal....
This pedal is incredible. I also have the Lion, but if you had to have one, i would go with the Enigmatic. The tones are wonderful. It goes from glimmering cleans to heavy overdrive that make humbuckers sing. I run it into a LA2A comp and its very addictive. The cabs are great and provide good variety. I hear stories but the phone app... but works fine for me. It is much more vast then the Lion app. You could do fine with just the pedal but there's lots of cool things using it in the app. I have lots of modeling but this thing really has it.

Just right for my rig.
Really amazing piece of gear. It took me a while to commit but I’m glad I did. I recommend watching the setup videos by James Santiago on YouTube. Getting the setup right makes all the difference. Sound quality: It sounds great through a pair of tube amps. I used it with a pair of Fender Champion 600 5-watt amps and a pair of Trace Elliot Velocette 15-watt amps. I also used the UAFX Max and Golden Reverberator. Build quality: Well made pedal.

Great pedal with a caveat.
Great pedal with a caveat. Best sounding overdrive I ever used, hands down. It will take you to Dumbleland with incredible tonal variety within that devices varied versions. Sadly, the thing would be impossible to use for gigs because changing settings on the fly is impractical. For recording 10/10. Note to UA - midi implemented on this device thru the USB would make it a game changer. Who knew that the USB connction was only for firmware updates? Your bluetooth connection is pretty dicey.

This is a terrible product, and extremely overpriced, also customer service is nonexistant
I am a longtime professional musician with over 50 years experience gigging in many situations. There are so many problems with this pedal it is hard to know where to begin. First, it does not have true bypass and often stays on somewhat even when disengaged. The bass, treble, and mid controls do nothing in some modes and almost nothing in others. There are some decent sounds in it but they are difficult to find and none of them are as good as my other amp simulator pedal which costs 1/10th of what this one costs. The pedal is very noisy, much more so than my $40 one. Finally. I tried it on one gig and there it would not work AT ALL, NO SOUND! To add to this is the fact that the customer service for this company is nonexistant, only an AI robot which at first denied that this comapny even MAKES this pedal, UNBELIEVABLE!

Great Amp Pedal
This pedal is pretty astounding. I can’t say that this gives authentic Dumble tones as I’ve never seen one, let alone played one. What I can say is that the pedal sounds great, responds brilliantly and is very sensitive to playing dynamics (very little difference to playing directly into my amp, if any). The app lets you tweak way beyond the physical controls. These tweaks all make a difference and there’s nothing there just for the sake of it. I’m finding it much easier to explore, and find, good tones than on my amp and using this is in the four cable mode means you can easily switch between the Enigmatic and the pre-amp of your amp at the push of a foot switch. Sounds great going into an effects loop (i.e. straight to the power section of your amp) or into a DAW. I imagine it would also perform ok in front of an amp but this kind of defeats the objective to some extent. The Bluetooth (re)connection between the amp and app could be a little better but if you stay on the app, it’s generally pretty stable. Overall, this thing is full of great tones and after a little bit of familiarisation is easy, and a pleasure, to use.
