Solid Seafood Boost for Quick Meals
I’ve been using these broth tablets to boost basic ramen and quick noodle dishes, and they really cut down on prep time while delivering a deeper, richer flavor. The seafood taste is clean and not overpowering, though I did find that one packet isn’t quite enough if you're making a full bowl with noodles and extras—works better if you’re sipping it as a straight broth or keeping portions small. It dissolves well and adds a savory base, though not everyone in the house found it bold enough. Still, it's convenient, and for fast meals or stir-fry seasoning, it gets the job done with minimal fuss.

Bland for soup base
I was hoping to use these packets as a base for my soup noodles, but it didnt turn out as planned. I followed the instructions for use of one packet along with the recommended water amount, but found that the soup still lacked flavor even after adding salt to the broth. There is a small hint of seafood flavor and there is also a little kick of spice to it. I would recommend drinking this as a broth by itself because adding in noodles or anything else will only make this broth more bland.

wonderful base for Korean soups and stews
Our family has tried a good, extensive list of broth bases and we have a good range to compare it to. The ones that tend to fall to the bottom of the list are ones that are too bland or have an unpleasant aftertaste. This one has neither. I was really impressed with this one and think the five star rating is more than warranted. The powder mixes into liquids nicely and it offers a nice seafood flavor that acts as a foundation for a great number of Korean dishes. You wouldn't believe how many applications this has. It was easy to add the suggested amount of powder for a more flavorful flavor and more balanced seasoning.

I had to use AI to figure it out...
One of the ingredients made me raise an eyebrow, so I asked my handy AI tool if I should be concerned. The tool said no, because it's likely just a probiotic, so I am giving this five stars! These are very convenient little packets (but I have to use scissors to open them), that are perfect when you need to add some flavor to your soup.In case you are interested, I'm including what the AI said below:*******************************************************************************“Patented complex fermented bacterial spore powder” definitely raises an eyebrow, but let’s break it down:What it likely is:This ingredient is probably a probiotic or enzymatic additive made through fermentation. The "bacterial spore powder" part means it contains spores of beneficial bacteria—likely from Bacillus species (like Bacillus subtilis or Bacillus coagulans)—which are commonly used in food fermentation, digestive health products, and even traditional Korean foods. The term "patented complex" just means it’s a proprietary blend—a mix of strains and/or nutrients that a company developed and trademarked. These blends are often used to:Improve flavor or umami through enzymatic action,Aid digestibility,Extend shelf life or act as natural preservatives,Or even support gut health (though that's less typical in broth).Should you be concerned?Generally, no—assuming it’s a commercial product with proper labeling and regulatory approval. Korea has strong food safety standards, and these kinds of additives are common in East Asian fermentation processes. If it's sold in stores (especially exported), it's likely been vetted for safety.

Big flavor in a tiny packet
I love making soup, but I don't always have the energy to make a full pot. Sometimes I just want to add noodles to some broth and call it a day! I ordered this Korean Food Rich Flavor Seafood Broth to help bring a little more zing to my soup.I ended up using this not as a soup, but as an addition to some stir-fried wheat noodles. I fried the noodles in a little oil and then added the powder packet. WOW! It was easy to open and fragrant, but was subtler when I tasted my noodles. I would never have guessed that this flavor came from a packet! It's a fantastic ingredient and tastes just as good used on its own. For $13.99 (price at time of review), you receive 15 packets. While this isn't a great value if you're cooking a meal for others, it's great for if you're just cooking for yourself. Jazz up your office ramen with one of these! I'm thrilled and would absolutely order this product again.
