Great waterline shutoff valve, simple to install
Haven’t used it yet. But Sharkbite makes amateur plumbing so much easier.

The best plumbing tool since the wrench!
Sharkbite products are truly superior. They are built to be tough and easy to use. I have never had an issue with leaks or fitting. It does exactly as it says, seals water tight, functions flawlessly and miles above the rest. I will only use Sharkbite for plumbing needs. Love it!

Quality item, and easy to install.
I got this shutoff to replace an old brass unit, and it was a breeze to install. I went from old 1/2" copper to 1/2" PEX, and there were no leaks. The only caveat for novices like myself is that the faucet has a flow direction. So, I installed it backwards, and had to remove with the SharkBite tool, and then reverse it for it to work properly. I imagine the old unit had the same features, but this one has a DIRECTIONAL ARROW embossed on the side *(info for my fellow novices). Anyway, it shuts off very smoothly, and the inner packing feels like it has some 'give' for endurance. The bleeder cap functions as it should. Overall, I'm very pleased that I went with SharkBite fixtures, rather than the usual old fuss with solder and rosin. It turned a possible 1 hour job into a 15 minute one.

Another Easy-To Install Product From Shark Bite!
Like all Shark Bite products I’ve ever used, this valve made changing out the broken one for the supply line to my hose bib super-easy. It was just a tad longer than the old one, so I could simply cut the old one out and have enough pipe to push into either side of this new one— no soldering required! The knob does feel a bit flimsy, though— it’s plastic— but it doesn’t take much effort to turn, and the caste metal seems very strong and durable.
