Fantastic Long-Lasting System
We’ve had this for over a year now so I figured it was time for a review. This RO water system is amazing. It’s a good price, compact, easy to install, and quiet. Just make sure you have an electrical outlet under your sink. If not, you’ll have to drill a separate hole in your counter to plug it into one of the outlets there. You will also need a power drill for drilling a small hole to connect the drain line to your sink drain pipe, but otherwise they give you everything you need. Just follow the instructions and make sure you run it for 30 minutes after it’s all installed to flush the filters. It works great! We are a family of six (2 adults, 4 kids) and heavy water drinkers. I also make gallon pitchers of iced tea a couple of times a week with it. The PPC filter lasted a whole year before I had to change it, and the RO filter is still going after a year and 3 months. It’s a reverse osmosis system, so don’t expect it to have a ton of water pressure, but the flow rate is better than most systems. The water tastes good. Really, it doesn’t have much taste at all. That’s because it removes virtually everything from microplastics to contaminants to minerals. So if you’re worried about getting enough minerals, I would get some mineral drops to put in your cup. Overall, we love it.

Well built
I am not new to under sink water filtration. I have been using them for years. This is my first tankless RO system. I replaced a frizzlife 3 filter water purification system with this Stokk RS1 400 gpd because I needed RO water for my humidifier. I have a matching drinking water faucet and sink faucet so I did not need the included RO faucet. The installation was a breeze as the only thing I needed to do was add a drain saddle connection. The creative water tube connections to this box was a cinch to use. Because of the RO membrane, water output will be slower than your average charcoal filter system, keep that in mind. Most will opt for the faster 600 gpd unit but if you dont want to replace your expensive membrane any more than a once a year, you should stick to the 400 gpd. I dont think the plastic cover on the front control panel is necessary at all. Its already hiding in a cabinet. Stokk does provide everything you need except a drill, 1/4" bit and phillips screw driver. You might also need a pair of kitchen shears to trim the tubing. The included thank you letter is a nice touch, talking about the company's start. Stokk cares about the environment and all the waste caused by water bottles. But looking at the filter cartridges they use, they are encased in some heavy duty plastic. Unlike others that I have used in the past, these do not seem to open allowing you to just remove the old filter and or RO membrane. (Confirmed by watching Stokk's filter replacement youtube video.). Which means excess waste in the landfill that will take decades to breakdown. I would like to see development in this area. Sure its super convenient but not green in the least and kinda makes me wonder if I bought the system. This company has US based support and is from Hong Kong. . Jin Fang Technology has 3 trademarks for Stokk that were filed in 2023. So despite being new to the scene their product is seriously well designed. Stokk S1 series filtration meets the following specifications and is certified by SGS, a global certifiacation company. Certs can be found on the Stokk support website. NSF/ANSI 42 Filters are certified to reduce aesthetic impurities such as chlorine and taste/odor. These can be point-of-use (under the sink, water pitcher, etc.) or point-of-entry (whole house) treatment systems. NSF/ANSI 58 Reverse osmosis systems incorporate a process that uses reverse pressure to force water through a semi-permeable membrane. Most reverse osmosis systems incorporate one or more additional filters on either side of the membrane. These systems reduce contaminants that are regulated by Health Canada and EPA. For those of you who dont read the included manuals, you can extend your 1 yr warranty for a 2nd year by scanning the QR code found in the last page if the book.

Filters replacement cost more than the system!!
At first the system works very well- until you need to change the filters. Stokk sells their filters for the same price as the whole system. I paid $200 for the system and the replacement filters are $170, if they’re even in stock. On top of that, you can only buy their filters, locking you into an expensive cycle. When I asked when they would restock their filters, I had to wait 4 months only for the prices to be outrageous. I would not recommend Stokk, do your research for other filter systems!!

Solid Filter Exactly as Advertised
I felt compelled to leave a review since I personally wanted to see more verified purchasers reviewing this product who have had no contact with the seller like myself. The filter is EXACTLY as advertised which I am extremely pleased about, no surprises at all. Things to know: I can affirmatively say after running the system for 30-60 seconds I am getting a TDS of 8-12 ppm, tap into the system is 160 TDS, I bought a tester just to see for myself and I am well pleased! Tankless RO systems will equalize after sitting for a short while so you do need to run it for a minute to get no TDS creep/attain perfect water, this is not unique but should be known. I suggest filling containers for the fridge, this way its chilled and you can remineralize with celtic sea salt which I also recommend since this water becomes near distilled. Just add a pinch for electrolytes is a good idea for ANY reverse osmosis system without remineralization. Installation is extremely easy I don't understand why others had a problem. It took me 30 minutes, just be aware you will have to drill for the spout if you don't have a hole for it and also a drain hole (like ALL other RO systems - this should be obvious). I have no leaks at all so others with leaks complaining of parts quality either improperly installed (use the provided teflon tape!) or they have since upgraded to better connections I find to be solid build quality, no complaints. The speed of the 400 gpd is slow like others are mentioning, I am fine with the speed for the price but be aware of that. The filter is super quiet when running which is nice. I hope this review helps others in my position, looking for a review from an actual unpaid customer who is also a perfectionist and over researcher when it comes to this stuff! I'll try to keep this review updated if anything changes.

Generally Pleased
The item was easy to install with fairly clear directions. The compact design took little of my undersink storage area. The water test I have done since showed effective results for my well water. The pump operates fairly quietly. The water taste (or lack thereof} takes a little getting used to. The water flow rate is a little slower than ideal, but reasonable. My only other minor complaint is that the first water to come out seems a bit warm - at least not quite cold enough to be refreshing.

Good filtere system
Installed the system in just under an hour. When I first turned it on the pure water port was leaking profusely. I pulled the tubing out and discovered that the o-ring inside the port was not seated properly. I re-seated the o-ring and reinstalled the tubing - no more leaks. After running the faucet for 30 minutes the TDS reading was 008. Some people complained that this system is noisy, but that is to be expected for any motor driven device inside a hollow space like a cabinet. The water tastes good and comes out much faster that the previous filter system. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow.

Easy install for cleaner water
Smaller unit then traditional style RO machines but works well. No more gross tasting water. Works a little slower then Id like but that might be my water pressure

Works well
The product is well made and delivers clean great tasting water. I ran the system for 20 minutes before drinking any water, but I still noticed small particles in water. I ran another 5 minutes, no particles. My install was simple because i already had an under sink filter. I disconnected the filter and installed the hoses in the designated ports. The unit appears to be very sturdy and is very quite. After being installed for one week there are no signs of leaking. A few days after installation, I experience an unpleasant taste in the water. I ran a full gallon, the taste disappeared. Don't allow water to sit in the tank to long, say for weekend. If you do, prior to drinking any water run at least 32 oz. Caution note; Most under sink electrical outlets are there for you garbage disposal which is controlled by a switch. Make sure one socket has constant power. If not, you will have to modify it or hire an electrician.
