Amazon Basics Portable and Flexible Tripod 25cm/10inch with Wireless Remote and Phone Holder, Black

I've used it as a basic stand for my Samsung S8+ and had it wrapped around various items when using it outside my flat, and it's been great and has lasted very well thus far. With all the use it's had, there's not a dent or scratch or mark on it. It seems to be very durable. It's stable, providing one is sensible - no overloading it, or precariously trying to balance it. It is mostly used with my phone, but I've also used it with my Nikon Coolpix P500 camera and it's handled the weight with ease. I haven't tried it but already know it wouldn't be able to cope with the weight of my Nikon D750, especially with lenses. It's small enough to easily fit in my camera bags, and is light-weight. The holder can be adjusted to hold phones in portrait and landscape, and the sprung 'clip' securely holds any standard smartphone. I've had it positioned with the legs splayed to retain a low centre of gravity in high wind, had it stood at full extension as a tripod, and had the legs wrapped around various bars eg, on the balcony, a railing, etc. It has stayed put in all circumstances. The bluetooth remote is a nice touch, and worked instantly with my Samsung S8+ phone. Can't comment on how easy it would be to use with other phones. Should it break, or I need to buy one as a gift, I would buy this one again. Superb quality from Amazon Basics, as always.

I chose this option as it was cheaper than the others and I originally only intended to use it to hold my phone whilst playing videos for my child - safely out of reach. However I love the ease of use and intend to use for selfies and filming too. Pros ✔️ strong grip on any phone size - sturdy sliding grip to adjust to any width ✔️ option of portrait or landscape hold ✔️ flexible but strong arms to anchor to any surface ✔️ very easy set up - simply screw mount to arms and it’s ready to go ✔️ excellent price No cons to name so far! Haven’t tried the remote so can’t comment on the function.

Virtually all plastic but for less than £10 what would I expect? So far it works fine as an impromptu tripod and selfie stick. Small and easy to carry around.

This phone camera sound with remote control button I would say is pretty good it actually does and grabs around majority of things really good around the house if you want an unsteady balance this camera surround will overcome that the build quality seems to be pretty good but cheap but good the grip is excellent the stay with ability of The Strand is also really good it holds the phone really good but without a phone case or do the phone on its own the portability and taking it different places is really good as well the ease of use is really good also connecting it to Bluetooth he's really easy definitely recommend this easy to use for portable to take around with you definitely definitely agree to that definitely recommended thank you

Quite good, brilliant for connecting to chairs/fences etc, to enable photo-taking at random angles. The piece that holds the phone is not so good, and has a tendancy to move out of place super-easily. This means shots can end up on a wonky angle which is irritating. 3/5, 'not bad'.

This is a great tripod. I bought it for a solo trip away and it works great. You can also add other things onto it like a light.

It does what or is designed to do and the remote works well and is quickly and easily paired via Bluetooth. It seems well made and reasonable value for money.
