Love it! I don't actually have a problem but decided to keep an eye on this issue anyway. I just bough a second one for my wife.The app works great on my Android 9 Moto 6 Tracphone. If the meter fails to pair, open the bluetooth app on your phone and choose "recent connected devices" and your meter should be in the list even though it failed to pair. Click on your listed meter and choose "connect". Then turn your meter back on and from the phone app start the pairing function. You will have to authorize three screens pretty fast before the meter times out. If it fails just keep trying until you are familiar enough with the screens to make the choices before the meter times out and it pairs. Of course you should make sure that bluetooth is enabled on your phone in the first place.I used the small packet of yellow lancets to start. I set the lancet dial to 5 until I learned how to use it. It helps to press it firmly against the skin to get a good puncture. Now I have switched to the light blue lancets that came with the kit in a much larger volume. It only takes a very small drop for the meter to measure and it automatically puts the result in the phone app. I am taking one measurement in the morning after fasting for 8 hours and 15 minutes. Meaning only water or black coffee and then two hours and fifteen minutes after breakfast and the same for after my evening meal. I enter the meal or fasting info in the phone app so that it is matched with the glucose measurement.Now after using this meter for three days I can get a test recording entered in my phone app in two minutes flat.Lastly don't forget to get some alcohol swabs to use on the puncture area before you use the lancet.So far all is working as advertised. This is a quality product that may require a brain upgrade to the modern reality.

Compact, accurate, easy-to-use glucometer and app. A previous Accu-Chek meter user (also a good meter), but it required a few more button-pushes to record data and sometimes did not automatically transfer results. Roche also eliminated their phone app for their own Bluetooth meter, requiring purchase of a third-party program. Enter Contour Next One. Small form-factor, super easy to connect to the app, easy to set up and use. It took about 10 minutes to install the Contour Next One app on my Android phone, set up and connect the meter, run the control solution and take the first reading. The meter automatically transfers results, and the instant read red/green/yellow light system on the meter tells you immediately if your readings are in range. Great feature, and accuracy appears to be spot-on compared to Accu-Chek. The app is very configurable, and includes all the data you need for managing glucose levels - readings and charts, adding provider information, tracking appointments, medication, meals (with the ability to add photos) and exercise entries, report printing and exporting, and cloud storage to manage the app across devices.The kit includes everything you need to get started, including expendable supplies - lancets, strips and control solution, which actually makes the meter and lancing device free. The strips require the minimum blood sample to record, and the meter includes the ability to add samples within 60 seconds if necessary to avoid wasting strips ("Second Chance"). You can obviously use any lancing system you prefer, but the included Microlet Next lancets are available in a range of sizes (26-33 gauge) for maximum comfort and this is one of the most comfortable lancing systems I have used (Accu-Chek's FastClix is great as well). A great all-in-one system for glucose management, and highly recommended.

I did a google search to identify the most accurate glucometer. It was a toss-up between the Bayer Contour Next (at 100% accuracy) and the Accu-Check Aviva Plus (at 98% accuracy). I went with the Contour.Being able to purchase everything I needed in a kit made the process less daunting. I didn't have to search to find the right strips, the right lancet device, the right lancets, the right test solution... it was all bundled together waiting for me. That made the purchase very convenient for me.The system took me a few minutes to get the hang of - mostly because I don't really read instructions. After two failed attempts at testing my blood sugar, though, I figured I'd better review the pamphlet that came with the glucometer. After a cursory check of the pamphlet, I found it very easy to pair the device with my phone and to use it to check my sugar.There is one feature which I do not like - though it is not the fault of the seller. The pairing between my device and my phone seems to only work when I have the location enabled. It isn't a huge inconvenience, though, because whenever I turn on the location (I usually have it off), the device pairs and updates automatically.All in all, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

Overall I really like this product. It is easy to keep with you on the go and keep everything you need in one place. It can do many different types of tracking your levels but is also easy to use for a beginner like I was when I ordered it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because of the soft-sided carrying case. The way it shows you to store the actual meter is “face up” but what ends up happening is the power button will get bumped all the time and the batteries went dead super quick, and they aren’t cheap. I figured out it will still fit in the proper slot if placed face down, and since then no more dead batteries. So as long as you do that you should be fine.
