💧 Keep your prints flawless—dry smarter, print better!
Slice Engineering’s Filament Drying Desiccant uses activated alumina to absorb 10 times more moisture than silica gel, ensuring your 3D printing filament stays dry and print-ready. Designed to fit perfectly inside spools and compatible with various drying setups, it prevents common moisture-induced printing issues. Infinitely rechargeable and made in the USA, this desiccant offers a safer, sustainable, and high-quality solution for professional-grade 3D printing.

Works great, nice price maybe safer?
The stuff is working very very well. I added some cartridges to the AMS above my printer and filled them with this descant. I watched as the humidity dropped from the 40% to 50% range down to 10%. I’m very happy with this.I read somewhere that this type of desiccant was safer to have around than the regular color changing stuff. I don’t know if that’s true or propaganda. You know how “big dessicant” can be.

Very nice and convenient, but a bit pricy.
Overall these are very nice and I'd probably buy more if they cost less. These have a plastic cap that can be used to seal off the desiccant from the air when not in use. On one of the cans, I struggled to remove this. I ended up having to cut it off - that was a pain. These plastic lids are a good idea, but they should be a little easier to take off. Also, 5 of the cans were filled to the very top, but the sixth can was only about 90% full. I did not see any fines or powder that could otherwise contaminate the filament. These desiccant cans have been placed into separate plastic boxes with dried 3D print filament which also include digital humidity sensors. The humidity has dropped from about 35 to 20% in each box within about two days of being closed (I think 20% is the lowest my "cheap" humidity sensors will report). The all metal design is nice because these can be placed into an oven and regenerated without having to empty and then refill the container with dried desiccant. Nonetheless, I'll probably 3D print my own plastic containers, purchase 2 lbs of desiccant and fill them myself next time to save some $.

Works with keeping your filament dry
I've had these for about 2 weeks now and I can say that these have been helping keep my filaments in my AMS machine pretty dry. I've noticed the humidity level go down which shows its working. I would get this if you're 3d printing and need to keep your filament dry.

Great if you want an in-roll desiccant
This works well if you want to have some space savings and need to keep your desiccant dry. It measurably reduced ambient moisture in a dry box, and is rechargeable (provided you follow the instructions). The container, which differentiates this from many other drying products is exactly the right size to fit most spools I've used.

Reusable
Great little product. Love the reusable aspect!

Not working as advertised right out of the box
I got 2, 2 packs of these and left them in a gasket lined tote all day and overnight. It started at 60% and hasn't gone lower than 52%. I am attempting to recharge them, and if it works after that, it means they came already saturated.
