Low energy, strong power!
This is a bad ass little fridge for any van build, and the great thing, it’s 12V dc. Takes very little energy and she runs cold. Literally takes only 80watts and I’m running her on an EcoFlow Delta Pro Max. Just runs while I work, and it’s nice to have a cold drink after a 10 hour shift! Would definitely get another one for my next build. Thank you!

Spacious and Durable: A Great Value for Our Van Build
We wanted a large fridge freezer combo for our van build, and the Bodega 12V fridge seemed to fit the bill perfectly. After three months of use, we're thrilled with our purchase. It installed seamlessly in our build, and it has held up well to our rugged off-road adventures in our 4x4 van. The fridge is spacious and well-reviewed, making it a great value compared to other options on the market. While the temperature may not be super accurate, once you get the hang of it and set it a bit higher, you won't have to worry about freezing your lettuce. The freezer, on the other hand, works like a charm and quickly produces ice cubes. Having ice while on the road feels like a luxurious treat! Overall, we're extremely satisfied with our Bodega 12V fridge and look forward to many years of reliable use in our van build. If you're looking for a durable, spacious, and affordable fridge freezer combo for your adventures, this one is definitely worth considering.

Works great and affordable compared to competition
Our absorption fridge kicked the bucket in our RV. After lots of research we went with the bodega, it fit the size we were replacing and was a better price compared to the other regular 12v brands. We used it this weekend and were very pleased. It is very quiet, held the temperature we set it to and did not draw a huge amount of power (see Pcole's review for detail on how long it will run on a LiFePO4 battery). I knocked off 1 star for a few reasons. - Like other said the latch feature takes a little to get used to before you get the knack of properly opening the door. The trick is to lift where it says open, then slide your hand in the center of the top of the door and pull..its a natural handle, but cannot be exposed until you lift on the left or right of it. - There is no drip catch for the condensation that accumulates like other 2 or 3 way fridges have so when you shut this unit off, make sure you wipe the fridge and freezer out well or you'll end up with a puddle on the floor - the LED lights on the unit are veru bright, the instruction has a diagram that shows a "night light" so I thought it could be turned off or dimmed but found no way to. - no mounting other than 4 screws at the front. There should be a bracket around the front face and holes in the bottom of the rear back plate where the compressor is so this can be more securely installed in a RV. All the above "cons" are not terrible or show stoppers. All in all this is a great buy. I have a few concerns on how well it will last based on a couple comments and concerns with the warranty, but time will tell.

Good
I purchased this refrigerator for use in my RV. It comes fully assembled right out of the box and does not require installation. One thing to note is that the power cord does not have a plug, so you need to connect it to the power supply in an appropriate way yourself. There are some components exposed at the back, so this refrigerator is best suited to be built into a cabinet. After connecting the power, it runs well, is quiet, and cools quickly. I especially like the thick flip-up cover of the freezer compartment—it provides excellent insulation and feels very sturdy. It would be even better if the refrigerator door handle were made of metal. Overall, I am satisfied with this refrigerator.

Solid 12v fridge
Update October 2025 Unfortunately, I have been less than thrilled with this fridge after my initial use period. There are two main concerns I have: - The door for the freezer is held in by one little plastic nub on each end. One of my nubs broke off through normal use and the door no longer stays on. After multiple attempts to contact support, I was finally able to get a replacement part ordered. But we are now almost 6 months into it and they are still waiting for the part from the factory. If you need support with this product I wouldn’t hold your breath. The temperature settings only allow you to change in 2 degree increments (e.g. 33 degrees to 35 degrees). I’m constantly switching back and forth between two settings but on the warmer one, things in the freezer often get too soft. And on the colder one, things in the fridge freeze up. If I could set it between the two settings I “think” it would be just right. But that is not an option… Original Review: I really like this fridge. It replaced a dometic in my van and I was a little skeptical given the low price and brand that I am not familiar with. But I figured I would take a chance since it was free shipping and free returns. 12v setup was easy and connected into my existing setup in minutes. The temperature setting was quick and easy. I have a fridge thermometer inside and it never wavers more than 2 degrees either way. Much more consistent than what I had previously. It also uses less power from my batteries each day which is always a plus. I love the big freezer- so much bigger than what I had before. I like having multiple boxes of ice cream in addition to my frozen veggies. The bottom shelf on the door holds a half gallon of milk, a box of OJ and other similar sized liquids. There are a few things I don’t love. The top shelves on the door are very small and don’t hold much that I would like to put there. I also don’t love the door opening approach. The latch on front unlocks the door (a good thing) but then you have to reach around the side of the door panel to open it. In my setup, accessing the side of the door is tough because it is completely flush. I’m going to add a strap to the front and see if that makes it easier to open. Overall I’m very happy with this fridge so far. I’ll update my review if anything changes.

Just works well
So far so good! I was going to spend much more than this but basically this looks smart & works well (I have it running on 24V). Set it to 33deg and the beers are staying just about right! To confirm. It comes with the DC power cord attached (I wasn't sure so purchased another cable). You will probably want to put a fuse on it though. Bought to replace a larger 20year 3 way dometic. This just seems simpler, especially as we have plenty of DC power in our trailer. We built a shelf to raise it up and reclaimed another foot of storage space under the fridge too. No noticeable condensation or leaks. I would say this is lightweight and easy to install, but once set in place seems solid. Would buy again. Only oddity is the latch in the middle means you really need to use 2 hands to open it. But this does allow you to reverse the door (which also isn't clear); specs and manual says not a reversible door, but then proceeds to show you how to do it. To me it seems you can (although I didn't need to).

Good for Camper Van conversion
Bought this 12-volt refrigerator for an RV conversion, and it worked great during the trip. It is very quiet and has a large storage space. The only downside is the latch in the middle — it makes the door harder to open, and I worry that pulling too hard could break the plastic handle. A side-mounted handle would make it much easier to open. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase.

This refrigerator is fantastic
In 2017 I bought a Ford cargo van to convert into a camper. I spent nine months doing the conversion and produced a very satisfying except for one thing. The refrigerator I installed although still going strong turned out to be too small for satisfaction. It is an Engel almost the identical volume capacity as this Bodega. As most DIY camper builders do I installed a cabinet that uses the rear half of the door space that opens up when the slider is all the way open. I used the cabinet as a place to store a propane tank, a water reservoir, and some tools. A mishap that occurred using a propane bottle inside the van to boil water brought it home to me dramatically that carrying propane inside the van was not a safe thing to do. I immediately decided from now on no more gas bottles or tanks inside the van and now have trailer hitch mounted carrier that I use. The next decision was to scrap carrying a space consuming water reservoir in the cabinet so I could free up space to install this Bodega refrigerator. We've just returned from a three week road trip tour of Utah and I cannot say enough good things about how much better this bodega is than our other fridge. The freezer freezes, the space inside is more useable because it doesn't have angled walls like the Engel, it is quieter, it has an insulated door to the freezer and more room, it has instrumentation to display what the temperature is and enables you to set the temperatures precisely. I don't believe there is any other brand of refrigerator for a van that competes with it when you take the price into consideration.
