I'm disappointed with my Eton Elite Executive. It worked for a few days on a single charge of NiMH Eneloop AA batteries and then I replaced the exhausted ones with a freshly charged set. It worked for less than 24 hours before the unit suddenly locked up. None of the keys responded to presses, not even the Power On key. The supplied AC/DC adapter only works on 110v power outlets, so I had to buy my own AC/DC adapter for 240v. The radio was able to switch on, but as soon as I cut off the external power the Eton's keypad froze again. Factory resetting did nothing, even after resetting it multiple times. Radios like the Eton Elite Executive are meant to run on battery power and the external power supply is meant to charge the batteries internally. I bought this radio for its shortwave band and any experienced shortwave listener knows that using the AC/DC adapter interferes with shortwave reception. I would gladly give the Eton EE 5 stars only if it worked properly on battery power. Since it doesn't, one star is all it gets. This radio is going back to Amazon as it's considered unreliable. Buying an Eton radio as I later found out, is like buying the lottery.

Oh WOW! I had an aging Sony receiver that has been troublesome and this was a quite inexpensive option that I wasnt too sure about, considering that I was unfamiliar with the brand. For just over $100, it wasnt a big risk I thought, and placed the order. Well, the product is beautiful, the presentation and quality is so on point. Am still delving into the functionality, but aircraft comms are coming through loud and clear and I think I have bought myself a winner !

This Radio has the allowed frequency . Some buttons needs to be revised . Like the print size and some wording like SW is not mentioned or written. The cover is a good idea but it is a workout to have the radio sits up and maneuvering the antenna. As the antenna goes through a hole in the cover it is a hassle to take the cover out every time you wish . Also at least to provide the external Antenna with it as the price is already High enough to cover the antenna cost. I do not see anyone buying this radio for the sound there are many Bluetooth speakers that could be used to have good sound. It is bought for convenience to not to rely on internet to hear some frequency . In Conclusion this radio is a very nice electronic square to have it is dependable and ready any time . I would buy it again anytime
