Firstly it is good at what says it can do. Its the first time I have used one of these , so definitely an amatuer.I just need a clear indication ( or a bit of help with soil types & needs).Need to know really if my soil has enough or not too much Nitrogen / Phosphorus / Potassium , so that I don't make the mistake again with the Figs plant ( where is over fertilized with tomato feed , leaving them with a disaster of dropping all the figs off the plant.So too , Using it with different house plants that use different conditions & soil types.So i'm using this on an occasional use , and it works to give a accurate measurement . similar to what expected.& gives guidance.The build is strong and practical / hand held easy to use.Light & figures are clear to read , it does need batteries , & this is where it lost a star as its much easier to charge via USB nowadays with out changing/ replacing batteries. That's the only thing though that i can point out.

This 4 in 1 soil tester tests NPK of soil and temperature.It requires 3 AAA batteries which are not supplied.Very simple to use by switching on and inserting deep into soil.The tester will then cycle through the individual N P K measurements and display the temperature.The build quality seems quite sturdy.The instruction manual is a bit lacking as no instructions on how to switch from Fahrenheit to Centigrade but it does have a good chart that you can use to tell your soil grade from the recorded readings.This is a very useful device for the gardeners and worth shortlisting.
