If you're looking to add wireless speakers, etc. to your TV or other entertainment devices, Sonos is the way to go. Sonos is quite expensive, but you're buying not only high-quality audio devices but also the flexibility of being wireless for sound and the interconnectedness of all the Sonos devices. The Sonos app recognizes all of your various devices and makes it easy for them to work together. You can assign devices to specific rooms or, if you want, set up a home audio network where music is played everywhere. The Sonos app also integrates access to Apple Music, Amazon Music, or just the Sonos music that they offer. For a home theater, starting with a Sonos soundbar opens the door for adding other Sonos speakers and a Sonos subwoofer. The sound bar, while using the Sonos application on your smartphone, will recognize other speakers and a subwoofer in the room. You also can configure the speakers to work separately, or they can be part of a surround sound system tied to the Sonos sound bar. The nice thing about each of the system audio components is that individually, you can touch the component (a speaker or soundbar for example) and control the room sound level, so you don't always have to go to the Sonos app on your smartphone to do so. You can get great sound for your entertainment system without requiring a receiver and complicated wiring. Generally, you just need: • A power cable • An HDMI cable for connecting to a TV • Preferably an Ethernet cable so all the devices can work over your Wi-Fi network • The Sonos subwoofer can work wirelessly, without requiring an Ethernet cable connection which is optional

Adding the Sonos Sub (Gen 4) to my Arc Ultra soundbar was the best decision I’ve made for my home theater setup. While the Arc already delivers exceptional sound, the Sub takes it to an entirely new level by adding that deep, cinematic bass that you can feel as much as you hear. Setup was a breeze, just like with the Arc. The Sonos App made it simple to pair the Sub with my existing system, and fine-tuning the sound to fit my room was effortless. The wireless design also makes it easy to place the Sub anywhere in the room for optimal performance. I know some people debate whether the Sub is a "necessary" addition to the Arc, but for me, it absolutely is. If you want that room-shaking, heart-thumping bass that completes the home theater experience, the Sub is essential. I couldn’t be happier with this upgrade—it’s the perfect companion to the Arc Ultra soundbar and worth every penny for anyone who values premium sound quality. Highly recommend!

I finally gave up the idea of a “room full of speakers” home theater after many years. I did lots of research and landed on Sonos based on the Arc Ultra, this sub (x2), and 2 Era 300s. Last night was the first time I watched action movies and I was blown away by the sound. I was enveloped from left to right and from top to bottom. I’ve heard people describe it as 80% of a full home theater, but it was over 90% for me.

The sub sound the depth and the power is incredible solar system altogether is incredible. I’m really satisfied with the sub. I highly recommended for anybody looking for a good sub for sound system whether it be music or theater in their home.

Sounds great. Easy to setup

I paired the Sonos Sub 4 with my Arc Ultra soundbar, and the difference is unbelievable. The sleek matte finish and sculptural design also make it a showpiece rather than something you’d want to hide. If you own an Arc Ultra, the Sub 4 is an absolute must-have. Together, they deliver cinematic sound that rivals high-end theaters right in your home.

I purchased this used, and the condition was refreshingly honest. It was basically perfect, but for a few light scratches on the top (I guess it was used as a small table?). They can only be seen if the light is just right, and the eyes are close. I put a mat over it anyway (so I can use it as a table too!). Well worth the savings for a great-quality and condition used item.

Definitely underwhelming for the price tag. The sound bar was great, but this sub is way too expensive for how it performs. Don’t get me wrong I really like Sonos stuff. But this thing is just not worth it.

A pair of Sonos Bass 4s coupled with the Sonos ARC Ultra and a pair of ERA 300 produces a completely immersive and spatial audio for listening to music. Very impressive for music lovers!
