After the plastics/not-recyclable police had removed our usual plastic/recyclable bendy straws from Amazon, we tried these. Actually quite good. Thick, still bendy, work well, and of course recyclable as they are paper.

These straws are used by my husband after his stroke. He managed really well with plastic straws and I used to wash and reuse. Thèse are not very bendy , they cannot be left long in liquid as they unravel from the base . You cannot wash and reuse and cost too much. We are now trying with stainless steel but this is harder but cheaper. When I used one the texture was unpleasant. When plastic was phased out I knew we would have problems but wow he has to drink! If you don't have to use them because of a disability then I would say they serve their purpose but are expensive.

They aren't that long and I can't see why you would sell paper straws and wrap them in plastic!!
