Elevate Outdoor Tray-Style Hitch Bike Rack - 2 Bike

This bike rack seems to be of high quality and well engineered, but BEWARE: contrary to the assurances set forth in it’s detailed “product description” it does NOT have the “convenient tilt-down” function which would allow access to vehicle trunk/hatch “without the [hassle] of having to remove the bikes”. Still apparently worth the price, but I wish it had arrived with all of it’s advertised features. (As is also advertised, the vertical center post does fold flat to the side to allow trunk/hatch access AFTER bikes are removed.)

This is the one for me. It assembled easily. It is made well including the welds. I only added some reflector tape to locations so it would be visible at night for other drivers to safely avoid hitting it. ALSO, I added some velcro straps to wrap around each of the bike tires and the bottom carrier frame as extra insurance to prevent loosing the bike. The U shaped frame, used to hold the bike tires in place, has a measurement of 16 inches. So if your bike won't fall thru this 16 inch tire gap, all should be fine with smaller bikes.

It was easy to put together. It is easy to adjust the rack to fit different sized bikes. It is easy to get the bikes on and off again. It is heavy but I can easily carry it to the garage when not in use. It is easy to get the rack on and off of the car if needed. I have used it about 6 times so far and have been happy with it. The only thing is it does have a slight wobble while driving but hasn't seem to bother any thing.

Easy to mount bikes on this thing, but I am not a fan of the screw-in hitch pin. I would rather have a normal hitch pin so I could use my own locking pin. Hauled two 50 lb e-bikes 800 miles with no issues.

Delivery prompt, love this bike rack. I'm retired and love to bike, this design makes it possible for me to load and unload my bike by myself, fits hitch on my jeep grand Cherokee with no problems would recommend this bike design rack to anyone.

I had a Uhaul hitch installed on my car at Uhaul. I had a class b, 1/34 hitch installed. This bike rack is a very sloppy fit, it wiggles when I go around corners. An adapter was included with the kit. and was not used as it was meant for a 2" hitch. So im not so enamored.

Was more than I expected. Good quality, easy assemble, and fast delivery. Couldn't ask for more.

I haul 2 bikes one MTB and one EMTB. very stable, don't know they are there.
