How much weight can these hooks handle?

These molding hooks are extremely strong, they are not rated for weight but our zipper hook on our steel loop cable will hold 44 lbs in weight, so the molding hook will hold at least that much. For heavier pieces, you can use 2 hooks to distribute the weight.

Would one be able to hang these from a window frame?

To be properly secure, it needs a lip to hook around, such as found on picture molding. You could modify the window frame possibly, if it doesn't have a raised lip. It's a very strong hook if seated properly.

Is the wide end curved as in an S-hook or flat like angle iron? If curved, how large of a rod could it fit on?

The most I can say is, this matches the profile of a standard picture rail used in homes. I don't have then at home as they are being used to hang pictures in the local library history room. The "brilliant" architect was trying to do a prairie design and used a 3/4 " stock with a rabbit on the top. These do work with this improvised rail. The radius at the wide end is much larger than the other end. The radius of the large end is at least twice that of the smaller end, if not bigger. Good luck with your project.
