Humor makes this book great
I read a fair amount of books by or about Native Americans and their cultures, but this book is much different from all the rest. It is a collection of humorous tales that give the reader a far deeper understanding of First Peoples' societies than the typical anthropological tome. The book humanizes the Ojibway by realistically showing their interaction with each other, white people and nature. Sometimes clever, sometimes self-deprecating, but always interesting.
